Good breakfast, good coffee, OK service and atmosphere 2/14/2009

Great breakfast (my favorite is the chicken and avacado omelet - I forget what they call it) with a good variety of choices and very unique blend of ingredients. Good coffee, decent atmosphere, decent service. We had one bad experience when the waitress threw out our leftovers and made a rude comment that we should not have left it on the table, but we have seen gone back and enjoyed breakfast there again. Definitely worth trying. Pros: Breakfast flavors and choices Cons: Below average service more

This is good hangover food. Meet your friends there for brunch. Worth a 30 minute wait in line. 12/14/2007

The menu is fantastic! There are all the right kind of simple and tasty combinations you could ask for in a selection of egg/omelet dishes. You'll have a hard time choosing what you want because you will want to eat all of it. I recommended Sunday brunch, but that's a busy time. If they say your wait time is over 40min I would move on. If 40min or less I would say it's worth the wait! Pros: Food and atmosphere. The convenience of breakfast food at all hours of the day. Portions are good. Cons: The wait in line on Sundays and sometimes the service is slow. more

A MUST WHEN VISITING PROVIDENCE. 10/3/2007

This is the second best breakfast spot I have ever been to... the coffee here was so good, they refer to it as ""new england"" coffee and the waitress insisted i try it. i had the black bean omelet (mexican style) and it was delcious.\r \r Also, I love the atmosphere here, it is a cute little shack with colored walls and paintings, it has so much character. Very reasonably priced.\r \r Pros: great ""new england"" coffee, great breakfast. Cons: none. more

A great little place! 3/11/2006

I went with my parents mid morning on a Sunday and it was packed. We had to wait about 20 minutes but it was well worth it! The prices are right and the food delicious. The service was also very good. Pros: portion size, price Cons: parking more

The bestest 12/13/2002

I've been to Brickway on Wickenden twice and will definately be going again and again. It is the best breakfast place I have been to in the Providence area. An eclectic interior offers the best pancakes I have ever had outside of my own kitchen. The homefries are terrific and not to greasy and the eggs are perfectly cooked to order. Nice wait staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Get there when it opens. Its a popular place and gets crowded by mid-morning. Pros: Food, easy access, ambience Cons: chairs more

Love the Brickway 8/30/2002

The Brickway is a great breakfast place. The food is really good and it is pretty inexpensive. The place does get crowded, so you might have to wait for a table. Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive more

Best breakfast in Providence! 7/22/2002

For my money, there's no better breakfast house in Providence! We're not talking gourmet eats here, but great food at a great price that can't be beat. The atmosphere is very RISD inspired with most of the furnishings (tables, chairs, utensils, etc.) culled from, what appear to be, a variety of yard sales. For the most part, nothing matches and nothing is supposed to. And that's the fun of it! Check out the variety of pancake dishes served in generous portions! Top notch! Pros: Food!, Atmosphere, Value/price Cons: So-so service more
