Soggy Rellenos 7/7/2011

We had two chile relleno dinners tonight. Both were soggy - not crispy - cold, clumpy cheese, and flavorless green chile. If there were a lower rating, I would use it. Very disappointed. Probably won't go back. more

Very good chile sauce 8/3/2008

I would describe this place as an American style Mexican restaurant/bar. But, the food was very good with one exception - the salsa which was not very good. Sure would be easy to change that! We ate at this location and also the one near Parker and Arapahoe and found both to be of good quality. The chile relleno was excellent and of course the clile was outstanding, reminiscent of the New Mexico style which we love. Good service, nice bars with lots of customers. Pros: Chile and chile relleno Cons: Probably less expensive Mexican eateries available more

BBII Great food, service and quick 11/19/2007

Had lunch with friends on Thursaday (11-15-07) heard alot about this place and was not disappointed. The food and service was excellent. Very relaxing place and great value. Would recommend to everyone. Quick service, had plenty time to sit and eat and be back to work (DTC) in plenty of time. Pros: Value, Food and quick service more

Best Mexican Food in Denver 11/13/2007

My family and I visited the Brewery Bar III Saturday night and what a great time we had. We had a party of 15 with no reservations or call ahead. They told us it could be up to 45 minutes. So, we sat in the bar area and had the greatest mararitas I think I have ever had. The bartender, I think her name was Lexi, was great, she tended our ever need. 20 minutes passed and our table was ready. The service was fantastic and the food was wonderful. The chili rellenos and green chili was out of this world. What a relaxing and enjoyable night we had. I couldn't believe our bill was just under 100. I can't think of any other place in Denver that could compare. I highly recommend the Brewery Bar III. We'll be back this weekend!!!! Pros: Everything, service, food Etc... more

Way overrated and stingy 7/5/2007

The first thing that really caught my attention was the chips and salsa that was brought to the table. They were store bought chips and if you wanted a second round you had to pay extra. Then after going through the menu I discovered that pretty much everything was extra which at most restaurants was included with the meal. Tomatoes and cheese were considered ""special"" add-ons. How cheap! Next I decided to try their ""famous"" rellenos. They were good size and crispy but as soon as I bit into it i discovered it was greasy and extremely bland to say the least. It was just a clump of cheddar cheese in the middle with a small chile. It was something that Taco Bell would produce. Their green chili was also sad. They had to use red pepper to spice it up because they do not know how to cook. Any Mexican cook knows not to use red peppers in green chili come on guys. The menu was confusing with all the different sauce choices and ""special"" add-ons. The menu was not very diverse and seemed to be one big a-la-carte menu. Another thing that got me was they sold 13 oz. and 14 oz margaritas. That is just idiotic, just pick one size. If you are looking for good Mexican food do not go here. You will end up paying a lot and leaving very unsatisfied. Pros: Still thinking.... Cons: Rellenos, chili, chips more

Not as good as I heard 12/14/2006

My boss told me this was ""the best Mexican place ever,"" and since she's been to a lot of restaurants, my husband and I decided to try it. The service was slow, and the food turned out to be bland. The green chili was watery. Our food wasn't very hot either. We will not go back. If you really want good Mexican, go to Los Dos Potrillos at County Line and Holly. Pros: It's at Park Meadows so there is a lot more to choose from Cons: Food temperature, taste, service, prices more

No redeeming value...none. Bad Food, Bad Service : ( 9/5/2006

OK...where to begin.? We were seated and ignored for 15min. Chips and salsa arrive... Chips...cheap wharehouse variety. Salsa...uninspiring...not fresh. Waitress takes order but writes nothing down...Messes it up...no apology. Overcharges us ($12.00 for 2 tacos w/rice and beans?? making it the most expensive meal on the menu?) We tell mgr., she snatches bill and deducts $4.00 and drops it back at the table at which point no one took our payment for 10 more min....arrrgh!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Pros: Hmmm... Can't think of one. Maybe parking... Cons: Food, Service, Ambience more

Worth the drive to the suburbs 6/28/2006

This has been a long-time favorite with my friends and I. The margaritas are great and definitely rival the Rio (without a limit of 3 I believe, never make it past 3 so it's hard to say). The food is satisfying but vegetarians beware: they claim to have a 'vegetarian' green chili, but all they do is strain out the pork. Other than that, plenty of options for meateaters and vegetarians alike. Service isn't as great as it used to be - last time I went it wasn't too busy and 3 of us stood at the bar with ID's and cash in hand and were ignored for about 10 minutes before we decided to wait to order our drinks from our server once seated. That's pretty rare but still something they could improve on. Sad part is their service is way better than BBII off of Kalamath - hence, the drive to the 'burbs is well worth it. Pros: margaritas Cons: park meadows traffic more

AWFUL FOOD!! 3/11/2006

I went with a party of 6 people and we all ordered different dishes. We chose this restaurant because it had a high rating on Denver City Search which was completely misleading. Of all 6 dishes, not one was remotely any good. The food was geasy, cheap, bland, fatty, and soupy. BB3 should have a rating of 3 instead of its present 8.6. I will never return to this restaurant!! Cons: Food, Food, Food more

Fantastic Green Chilli 10/8/2005

I am not sure who wrote the previous review but the green chilli at this place is awesome. I have eaten at all the Brewery bars in town and this one is for sure just as good. The service is great. Remember you are goign to a bar restaurant so expect some smoke and loud cheers from the sports fans. Overall a fantastic mexican dinner. more

Real good Chili Rellenos 9/9/2005

The green chili was marginal. I make better green chili at home. The burritos were average at best. The chili rellenos were excellent. Very good. That is the only reason I would go back here. The wait staff was a bunch of high school kids more concerned with talking among themselves than they were in refilling my ice tea glass. Overall OK I guess for Highlands Ranch. Not a whole lot of choices in this part of town. Next time I'm going to go to the original location. more

Not that great 6/14/2005

I have read the reviews for the Brewery Bar on Kalamuth and was eager to try this restaurant in Lone Tree. Frankly I was disappointed. The green chili, which has been highly touted, was watery, good green chili should be like a gravy, this was nothing like that. The cheese enchilada's were overloaded with stringy, gummy cheese. The salsa was not good either. The bar area was really smoky, and we requested nonsmoking and were seated right next to the bar, the smoke was awful. They also charged us for chips and salsa which is frankly ridiculous considering almost every Mexican restaurant in Denver offers them free of charge. The server and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive, the only really positive things I can say about this restaurant. It wasn't horrible but there are certainly better Mexican restaurants in the metro area. Pros: friendly staff Cons: price, food not that great more
