The products are great. The people are not friendly. If you're visiting a little country store, you expect kindess...sorry, I didn't see it, or get it.

Not friendly 9/1/2012

I had been looking forward to finally going to see what this place was all about and did not even read any reviews. We had three extremely well-behaved quiet kids with us, and was looking forward to showing them things in the store and homemade items. As we looked at things together in the store I had an uneasy feeling that they were just staring at our every move. They were not veery friendly, and especially not friendly to the kids. We purchased a few things and left, and both my friend and I said on the way home how disappointed we were. I see now from these reviews that this is a common thing. I can see not liking unruly kids, but just plain not liking kids at all is just bizarre. We won't go back. more

HORRIBLE customer service 4/5/2011

My parents live a few blocks away from Breeden's Orchard and I thought I would take my 2 & 4 year old sons there for a treat- peach slushies. When I handed the female owner my debit card (which had a Mastercard logo) she handed it back to me and informed me that they wouldn't accept my card for payment. I was a bit stunned, but quickly scanned the cash register and saw the "Visa/Mastercard is accepted here" sign. When I asked why not, the owner stated that my debit card said "cash rewards" on it and by accepting it for payment she would have to pay a higher fee for the transaction. I tried to explain to her that the cash rewards was meant for ME, the patron (my bank pays me back when I use their card for purchases.) She couldn't understand this concept, so I paid by check and promptly left. I called my bank and informed them of this unusual situation. The banker let me know that Breeden's Orchard HAS to accept any card with a Visa or Mastercard logo if they want to keep their credit card terminal. Turning my card down for payment violated their credit card agreement with Visa & Mastercard. I love their produce and will continue to purchase from them, but I will make sure to bring cash next time. more

Breeden's has rules for a reason - GREAT PEACHES! 7/10/2009

The trees have lots of peaches. They are of all sizes. Some big ones and some little ones...but after visiting twice, I do understand the no children in the orchard rule. The trees are so full and have extra supports to help support the limbs. I did see two trees where the weight had broken the limbs. They had plenty of peaches already picked. 1st and 2nd's available for cash and carry. 200 trees are available for adults to pick from. I heard them say the same thing over and over. No one can begin picking after 4:30 because they close at 5pm. They begin their day at daylight and by 5pm...it's been a long, hard and hot day of work. I respect that. They also suggest to call 615-449-2880 before you go. If the peaches are sold out at 3pm...they close early. Please remember this is a working farm. They really love what they do and I understand the need for rules. They are in place for us to have peaches again next year! more

Great Peaches 7/8/2009

The peaches this year are great so far. We just went by and got some Red Haven peaches & they have lots more varieties to come. Get there early if you want already picked or they will allow adults only in the orchard to pick only. They don't let children in the orchard because of the fraility of the trees and fruit. They've got all the shelves stocked too with yummy jams and mixes for the fruit. Peach Cider is delicious & the slushies are very refreshing. Everyone has got to go. more

2009 Almost Peach time 5/1/2009

I went by Breeden's Orchard last week and saw the cold weather had not bothered the peaches. The trees are full! They normally open sometime around the 4th of July but it will be closer to the time before they know an opening date. Great place! Can't wait for big juicy peaches from Breedens in Mt Juliet, TN!!! more

July 20th 2008 - Breeden's Orchard is open! 7/20/2008

They were open and the peaches were big and juicy! They have lots of fruit to buy or adults could pick in the orchard. Nice sitting area to cool off after picking in 90 degree heat...I got ones they picked. Also had lots of jams, jelly and chow chow for white beans! Kroger cannot compare... more

Fruit, pies and More!! 9/9/2005

Breeden's is the best place to find seasonal fruit. THis time is year, it's apples. OTher times, it's peaches or strawberries. You can pick yourself or buy already picked. The country store also has apple pies that are made up and frozen for sale. They are ready for the oven and come with cooking instructions. They are amazing pies!!! Our family buys some for Thanksgiving and keeps some in the freezer for Christmas. more
