I wish I would have visited this site and read these reviews before I ever stepped foot in this facility! If I had, I would have never made my first appointment to begin with! I, too, waited several hours while there for my first visit. I waited two hours to be seen for a mammogram and I was the third patient to arrive at the facility when they opened for the day. I was there a total of four and a half hours for my first visit. The wait time is unacceptable! Following my mammogram and my initial two hour wait, I was sent back to the waiting room to wait again for over an hour for the ""ONE Doctor who was there to read x-rays that day."" I was then sent to see the Ultra Sound Technician. After my initial two hour wait time, mammogram and visit with the ultra sound technical, I finally saw the doctor four hours after I arrived. The Mammogram and Ultra sound \r
Technicians were both very empathic, caring and professional.\r

After four hours of being shuffled around and left left to wait and wait, I found Dr. Simpson rushed and insensitive. Her bedside manor was less than empathic followed by her less than professional comments which were made regarding my symptoms. Dr. Simpson was in and out of my exam room in less than 15 minutes. She quickly gave me my diagnosis and told me what the next course of action would be, which meant calling to schedule a ductogram at another one of their facilities. I felt this was also an unprofessional move, since a member of the office staff did not call to schedule the appointment for me or better yet, with me, like most Doctor offices do. Dr, Simpson was in such a hurry that she spoke to me so rapidly that I did not even have time to process what she told me before she asked, ""do you have any questions,"" and quickly exited the room. She left me there with no further instructions or information about WHO I was to call. When I finally left the exam room on my own accord, I looked around the hall for someone to talk to or for an exit sign. Fortunately, at that same moment, one of the nurses came around the corner and asked if they could help me. I'm sure I had a look of bewilderment and confusion on my face. After my first visit, which was subpar, I then was informed that my next appointment would be at 7:30 am, no if's ands or butts about it, because that is the only time that they did the ductogram procedures. There was no regard to my schedule what's so ever.\r

Dr. Murphy performed my ductogram. She was very pleasant, empathic to my situation and had an excellent bedside manner. Following my ductogram, Dr. Simpson called me with the results and again spoke quickly suggesting the next course of action which was a needle biopsy. I was stunned since she originally told me that surgery would be the next step following the ductogram. When I asked why she thought I then needed a needle biopsy she became agitated which left me to question her course of treatment. The needle biopsy required me to return to the initial office location for yet another procedure with Dr. Simpson! Following my fourth procedure which was the needle biopsy, I was finally ready to schedule my ductectomy surgery and that experience was no better or different than what I had already been through!\r

After going back and forth, leaving messages and playing phone tag with the rude gal who was attempting to schedule my surgery, I felt completely frustrated and decided that it was due time to find another doctor. Am I ever glad I did that! There ARE professional Breast Care Doctors in Atlanta who are caring and empathic to what a woman goes through after finding a lump in her breast. I did not have to subject myself any further to this type of care. I also would not have to deal with individuals who were rude, rushed, unfeeling and unsympathetic!
