Please ignore 2006 review's comparisons to Harold's Barbecue (pricey bony dry ribs, Brunswick stew, and potato chip meal, and the cook touching every piece of meat on the grill with bare sweaty hands?!? Least that was my experience), Havana Sandwich (unbelievably disappointing food- used dishwashing liquid bottles for the hot sauce on the table - can you spell c-o-d-e violation???) If they meant Nuevo Laredo - ok that's more like it! Crusty grouper on a bed of lightly seasoned spinach/broccoli, perfectly creamy grits, fluffly scrambled eggs, and yes toast that is buttered while it's hot so it's evenly coated - not that big lump of half melted butter on pre-made toast like most diners. OMG! Such a delicious combination! And the pecan waffle - perfectly crispy outside/moist inside with lots of pecans and no articial batter taste! Stay at the Howard Johnson's across the street and you can beat the rush. Attentive servers. We were invited by one of the chef's we met at Gayna's bar the day before and he got down! Take a day trip from atlanta for breakfast while gas is still cheap!
Pros: Delicous food
Cons: Kind of small
