Breakfast for Cheap 4/16/2006

Breadmen's is one of the first places my husband and I went when we moved to Chapel Hill. We stumbled upon it by accident really. Since then, we've been back several times. The food is always good and the is nice. We've only been here for breakfast, but everything we've had has been good. I especially enjoy the pancakes. The prices are super low, so all the more reason to visit again. more

Good food, big space 4/15/2006

Breadmen's is definitely one of those places that I forget about for a while, and then suddenly remember and think, "oh wow, I haven't eaten there in forever! I love that place!" The pricing of food there is really good, and you definitely get your money's worth. The breakfast foods are great. I also like how it's really roomy inside, and you're not sitting on top of each other like you are in some other small diners. It's the perfect place for a late Sunday brunch, or just for a regular dinner anytime. more

I love this place!!! 3/30/2006

I had almost forgotten about this place until I saw other people's reviews. When we lived in Carrboro, this was one of my absolute favorite places to go - more so than Elmo's. Their french toast is just the best! The atmosphere is casual. There are lots of good sized places to sit with a group. Servers are always friendly, even if not totally timely. I have to admit that I've only ever had breakfast food there, but that's pretty much the whole point of Breadmen's. Everyone should definitely go there at LEAST once. more

Good For Breakfast 2/2/2006

Breadmen's is an institution for breakfast in Chapel Hill, the home of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. While the restaurant is open all day long and the menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day, the lunch and dinner fare does not sit well on one's stomach. Stick to the eggs and other breakfast items and you will enjoy your visit to Breadmens. more

Breakfast! Yum!! 8/31/2005

I love going to Breadmen's for breakfast on weekend mornings (or weekdays, if I can play hooky from work!). They've got fantastic waffles, pancakes, eggs, etc. But my favorite is the biscuits and gravy meal, which comes with eggs and hashbrowns. The coffee is refilled liberally, but they do get very busy (lines out the door on Sundays, especially) so once your food arrives, you may not see your waiter/waitress for a while. they serve breakfast all day, but also have lunch and dinner food, as well. more

Awesome 8/5/2005

After reading reviews on citysearch, I decided to try out breadmen's ourself tonight. I am so glad we did! The prices are so reasonable, and cheaper then most anything in Chapel Hill. Our server was very friendly, and when our appetizer (very yummy onion rings) werent delivered when our waiter thought they should be, he took them off the ticket (we weren't worried). Burgers were great! Fries were yummy. We will definitely be back!! more

Nice place for kids and Sunday breakfast! 8/4/2005

This restaurant is a well-liked staple in our house. We usually head there on sundays after church. At that time, it can be quite crowded but the line moves very fast. (If you want to sit in smoking, then you will probably be seating right away.) The food is pretty good. It is a kid-friendly restaurant. The host and waiters are very nice. I definitely recommend this restaurant. more
