I've been going to John, the PA, for years and find his bedside manner and care unmatched, but after my last visit I won't be back. I don't object to seeing a PA over the doctor, ...

Compassionate and knowledgable practioners are worth the wait 7/5/2006

My partner I have been patients of Dr Bray's office for a little over a year. In our 6 or so visits, we have received exceptional care. Two nurse practioners, Terri and John, have been wonderful to us. They give us ample time to discuss any problems we are having and never make us feel rushed. During one appointment, the nurse felt I needed to see Dr. Bray and she came right in to see me. I have had no problem getting appointments quickly since I am happy to see one of the nurse practitioners. My waits have been 10-20 minutes, which is standard in most offices. They have been very prompt in returning my calls, lab work, referrals, and calling in prescriptions. They're also happy to give out prescription samples as available. In the days of highly managed and impersonal medical care, I am more than happy to wait to see people who will provide the best care for my family. Pros: Knowledgable and friendly staff, Comfortable environment Cons: Magazine selection more

Dr Bray is a very friendly, but popular, doctor 5/14/2006

Being new to Atlanta with no health insurance I had been going to a clinic in Norcross. Going to Dr Bray's felt like heaven after that. It is hard to get in to see her, but in a urgent matter I can always go back to the clinic. The waiting room has a very home-like feel and her cat has free reign of the office, which my daughter and I found soothing. I found the staff to be pleasant, but the waiting time typical for a busy dr. My daughter and I were both seen by Dr Bray and a female PA. Dr Bray and the PA were both very easy to talk to. They didn't act like I was taking up too much of their time. I had a better experience at this office than I have at any doctor's in a long time and highly recommend Dr Bray. Pros: friendly staff, easy to find, cat-friendly office Cons: long wait time, long time to set appt more

My favorite Doctor ever 5/13/2006

I have been a patient of Dr. Bray's for over seven years. My family followed her from Decatur Clinic to her own practice. She has always been very thorough and pleasant. When I moved to East Cobb I changed to another doctor but was very unsatisfied and quickly changed back to Dr. Bray. I realize that Dr. Bray is very busy and I have no problems seeing a Nurse Practitioner when I am sick or just need a new prescription. I make my yearly physical appointment well enough in advance in order to see Dr. Bray and I alway see her for my Physicals. Beside the fact that she is a great Doctor, she has really helped me when I had no insurance and was very compasionate about my financial issues. Her office staff is very professional and now how to do their jobs. Pros: Selfless, Expert NP, Goes the extra mile more

Things have changed 2/3/2006

I remember being able to go to a Dr's office, see the Dr. and be on your way. This practice is different. I've been going to this practice for a little over a year and seen the actual Dr. just once. The office staff is rude and the patient is always waiting. I don't remember a visit to the Dr's office being this way until I moved to atlanta. I would not recommend this practice to others. Pros: good parking, nice nurses Cons: wait time, staff turn over, rude receptionist more

do they care? 12/5/2005

This Dr's office is not concerned, not accountable, and not caring about the needs of their patients. Calls are not returned and they act as if they are doing you a favor to see you. Pros: Parking Cons: money before wellness, too busy, no compassion more

Greed or Compassion? 11/30/2005

I agree with other reviewers regarding Dr. Bray's overbooked practice. New to town, I picked her as she was near to work and home but was only once able to actually see her as she seems to not limit her patient load. So the receptionist, who actually had the audacity to tell me ""A nurse practitioner can do everything a doctor can do,"" schedules patients who have medical issues to see the RN. That seems like inappropriate protocol to me. Having come down with pheumonia and had to wait 3 weeks to see her, I finally switched to another doctor. She needs to share her practice with other doctors instead of having nurses do doctoring work. Pros: location Cons: too booked more

Too Booked 11/28/2005

I have had Dr. Bray as my listed primary care physician for 4 years and never met her despite several health issues. They have always given me nurse practitioners. All have been very good, I might add, but they have also turned over. I just saw my 4th one in 4 years yesterday. She was very good, too, but no consistency in care is really hard on things. Pros: knowledge, compassionate, parking easy Cons: lack of availability, office staff, long waits more

Call hospital first 8/22/2005

I have had to call the office a few times either for myself or my daughter. Since we do not plan our illness in advance I am usually calling trying to get in the same or next day. Everytime I have been told this is not possible and I shpuld go to the hospital if I need immediate help. The few times that I have gone to the office, I have not seen Dr.Bray. I always see her NP or even the training NP but never Dr.Bray. In fact I have only met her briefly for about 5 min. Time or a new Doc, they are way too busy. Cons: Busy, Busy, Busy more
