Brand X Hamburgers

This used to be a great little out of the way spot. Let me put the emphasis on "used to be." This place has expericened a steady decline in recent years. I think it may have changed ownership. You will find the employees outside the back door smoking most likely. The food just does not cut the mustard anymore. Maybe if the bar hadn't been set so high in the past I would not be so disapointed now. But for now, my burger dollars will be going somewhere else...like Parker's Drive-In in American Fork. Cons: Food Quality, Lack of a regular schedule, Dirty, Taste not what it used to be. more

It's sad to see such a decline in what used to be a fun and great place to eat. These days the experience is guranteed to be a poor one. If you happen to catch them when they're actually open (getting to be a very rare thing these days), you will work with the most incompetent staff of all time. They will inevitably be out of something you want, and that which they do have will be made incorrectly. Now keep in mind that I don't order anything special ie: no pickels extra mustard etc. I simply order the Bacon double cheeseburger with fries and a drink. This will STILL get screwed up more than half the time. Don't be misled to think I'm basing this on 1 bad trip or even a small few. I just get through sending a letter to the owner detailing how the last 5 trips in a row have all been complete catastrophes. Save some time, and frustration and go to Barry's or Glades in Spanish Fork. Cons: Frequently not open, order is always wrong, expensive, WORST STAFF OF ALL TIME more

I am a Cottonwood Heights resident who loves to eat Brand X burgers. I have travelled all over the country and have had more different hamburgers than most people will ever eat. Brand X is easily on my top five list. Fresh meat, prepared after you order it, fresh produce cut there and flavor that is pure gourmet hamburger! I look forward to my visits to Springville or close to that allow me my favorite, a triple cheese burger with everything on it (no onions). Life is good when you can have Brand X. There is a reason they are still in business with a McDonalds right across the street! That is also a way to find the best burgers when traveling. Look for the hometown burger shop that is busy and has all of the nationals around it! They are still there because they are the best! Pros: Fresh everything, nice people, very affordable, cooked after you order it! Cons: Small inside but lots of room outside. more

I now live in SLC, but if anything takes me into Happy Valley, Brand X is on the agenda. Salt Lake has nothing on this place. The absolute best hamburger I've ever had. The tater babies with sour cream sauce and onion rings are wonderful. Pros: Best burger anywhere, Local, Tater Babies! Cons: No indoor seating more

I have a friend who's grandfather travels all over the country. Every where he goes he tries all the hamburger joints in town. He says the #1 place is In-&-Out, but secound is Brand-X. Pros: Great tasting, Inexpensive, Great onion rings Cons: More room more
