Bowling Green Medical Ctr

My daughter came in May,20018 with her female organs protruding. She had an exam and was told this is normal, and if she had pain she would have to see her Dr. She came in with a real medical issue. They made her feel like she was crazy for coming that it wasn't a real medical issue she never said anything about pain just uncomfortable. I would not send my dying dog there. They need to treat accordingly. I have never in my life seen anything such as this and I myself had 2 children. They need further medical training in respect not to always assume someone wants drugs. Sometimes they are needed. in this my daughter was uncomfortable not in pain. Her insides were outside her body a real need for concern. The Medical showed no concern for her well being. I hope she can find better healthcare somewhere else. The worst ever. She had never been treated so poorly as she was there. Never again will we enter for any reason. I might be wrong but I feel it was her insurance. Just saying. God help those who do care in the medical field and God really help those who don't. Medical Center at Bowling Green ER need a better medical staff that aren't judgmental. Thank you for this space. more

Got to The emergency room at 10:05pm after being taken to Room and get registered so that could be sure and get paid no one even came in to check on my daughter for 2 hours. I suppose the plan is if you leave the patient laying there long enough they will either get better or give up and go home more

I was brought by ambulance from greenview regional to the medical center in a state of diabetic keto-acidosis,due to trauma of having teeth pulled. the only problem I had was with the er doctor,William Vachon. He walked in,looked at me and shook his head at me,asked how long I have been diabetic.I told him type 1 for 36 years.He shook his finger at me and said "You should know by now how to take care of yourself." Then he walked out and I never saw him again. WHAT? Does he think I did this on purpose,my face was bruised from my cheekbones down into my neck,never asked me what happened. I looked him up to see what kind of reviews he got from other patients,and saw that he was arrested for being under the influence and first degree assault,why is this guy even working at this hospital? Everyone else,the nurses,aides and the other doctor I saw were very nice and made me feel well takencare of. more

Poor service and incompetent or negligent care at The Medical Center? - hdm? - Today Terrible experience here. I was warned away from it by health care professionals and co-workers in the area but my family physician ended up sending me there (even he had reservations about it and, after my experience there, apologized for it). I am NOT a difficult patient but, even if I was, there is no excuse of the "care" that I received here. I was neglected by the nursing staff...apparently the hospital administration does so little about problems that, even when a patient can see the nursing station and the staff gossiping rather than answering the call button that this occurs regularly. The doctor was abrupt with me on Saturday morning, telling me that the irregular EKG was not indicative of a heart attack and then left with no further explanation. I asked a nurse to contact him about me checking out or getting more information and the response was that I probably couldn't speak with him because "the doctors just breeze through on the weekends" (her exact quote) and that I probably couldn't speak with him until the next day. My family visited several hours later and I decided to leave since no one had told me anything further. The nursing staff tried to intimidate me with dire consequences to my health if I left but couldn't explain what other tests or procedures were to be done. I forced the issue and, seven hours after my request to speak with the doctor, he called...but only when I told the nurses that I was leaving and started gathering my belongings. He was petulant and unhelpful, making the same threats and telling me that I should really be in ICU with an insulin drip (though why I was NOT after 24 hours in the hospital and under his care, I do not know). I left and went home where I hydrated myself (I was extremely dehydrated and was given no IV fluids in the hospital until I had been there nearly a day) and felt better the next day. IN THE PAST FEW YEARS I HAVE HAD A LOT OF PROCEDURES DONE IN THIS PLACE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TREATED VERY KINDY BY THE DOCTORS AS WELL AS BY THE STAFF. STARTING OUT IN CHECK IN WITH DOING PAPER WORK AND INSURANCE INFORMATION, SURGERY AND AFTER SURGERY CARE. THEY HAVE UPDATED THRU THE YEARS- MY FATHER HAD OPEN HEART SUGERY IN THE HEART UNIT AND OUR FAMILY WAS VERY PLEASED. A FEW YEARS BACK , WE WOULD OF HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO GO TO NASHVILLE FOR SOMETHING AS SERIOUS AS HEART SURGERY. NICE TO KNOW HELP IS NEAR BY IF YOU NEED IT. more

I am so thankful that the Medical Center at Bowling Green is where it is. Several of my family members have had to stay in this facility and the doctors, nurses, and other staff are nice, compassionate, and professional. The care that they received was unbeatable.
