This is the best museum I have ever been to, however that is not saying much. There was much Japanese art when I was here and they had some movies showing how some of it was made....

This is the best museum I have ever been to, however that is not saying much. There was much Japanese art when I was here and they had some movies showing how some of it was made. Unfortunately I was still itching to leave whenever I could because of the dullness of the subject matter. The paintings were also ridiculous looking. more

Museum Fun For All Ages 8/15/2005

While their permanent collection is somewhat lacking in pizazz, they always have top-notch touring exhibits such as the Art of Tibet, or the Mummies of Egypt. Touring school groups can create a bit of a traffic jam, but things usually calm down around afternoon. Their Tangata restaurant is somewhat of a hotspot around town, so if you are planning on eating there, call ahead to make reservations. THis is an educational alternative the the other intellectually frothy pursuits the rest of Orange Countie loves so well. more

museum 8/13/2005

On a whim I passed by this museum and decided to take a look This was a museum I had never visited before. The museum reps were very friendly and the artwork as expected was beautiful. I happened to visit while there was an ancient Incan exhibit going on. The museum had perfect spot lighting to show of the detail of each piece. The museum seems a little small compared to some I have visited in L.A. but it did leave a lasting impression on me! more
