Best

I used to go here when I was a kid and I can remember it being a fun nice place to go. I would beg my mother to take me all the time because we lived so close. I can also remember...

Worst

Bowcraft is an okay amusement park. It doesn't compare to the bigger and better ones like Six Flags Great Adventure, but it's good for those who don't want to deal with having to...

They don't want the "locals" there anymore 7/4/2007

Used to be that Bowcraft was a place you could go to take the kids for a couple of hours of summer fun. No more... Now, if you want to put your child on a ride you have to pay $16 admission for the privelege of walking around in the hot sun. There is no shade to speak of at the park and if you happen to be pregnant or with a baby who cannot ride any rides it doesn't matter at all, you pay to walk in. How ridiculous. Since my son was old enough to ride the rides, Bowcraft has been a place we have gone a number of times each summer to spend a couple of hours so he could have some fun with friends. This new pricing structure guarantees that we will go one time this summer if at all, and to be honest, it leaves me with the impression that Bowcraft doesn't want our business any longer. I can understand paying for parking, OK. I don't like it, but I'll deal. But really, making parents pay to supervise their children? Absolutely obscene. It makes me so angry I feel like avoiding the park in the hopes that reduced attendance makes them re-think their stupidity, Maybe if enough people from the area refuse to go, they'll feel the impact in their pocketbooks and change their minds about the new admission policy. Fact is, you still can't ride the rides without a wristband, so why do parents who don't want to/can't ride need then anyway?? Maybe someone from Bowcraft can make an entry here to explain the "wisdom" behind their new policy? more

No More Single Tickets at Bowcraft 7/1/2007

I went to Bowcraft yesterday and was stunned to discover a new pay one price policy that would have cost me close to $60 for the group. We only wanted a few quick rides. Crazy. Pass the word and let them know that you are dumbfounded and mad. I mean it's Bowcraft, not Disneyland. more

Brought back memories 11/9/2005

I used to go here when I was a kid and I can remember it being a fun nice place to go. I would beg my mother to take me all the time because we lived so close. I can also remember the place going down hill . We had stopped going there because the place was dirty and the rides were old. I recently heard to place had gotten better so I took my daughter there to check it out. It's just like I remembered it being before it got dirty. Check it out! more

Decent Amusement Park 8/20/2005

Bowcraft is an okay amusement park. It doesn't compare to the bigger and better ones like Six Flags Great Adventure, but it's good for those who don't want to deal with having to travel a long way for a little excitement. The park is ticked based unlike the bigger parks, so you have to choose your rides accordingly rather than just randomly picking them. Secondly, the park is a little old and the rides aren't all that good. They don't have the big roller coasters or even anything special, just the typical rides one might expect. Probably wouldn't go there again. more

Nice park for kids 8/16/2005

This park is only for little kids. The rides are all small, but they all are very safe. If an adult goes here, he/she will be bored. But, for little kids, this place is good. The park is full of rides and is fun. I took my nephew here and he had a lot of fun. If you have a little kid, take him/her here. more

Good for Kids 8/16/2005

My son who is two likes this place. There are various carnival style rides and games. The nice thing is this park is set up for young kids. There were many rides which my two year old could go on and many rides which he actually enjoyed. The payment in this park is a lot like using carnival scripts so buy a lot at once if you like the park since there is a discount. more

Fun here! 8/4/2005

I would recommend any of my friend to visit the Bowcraft Amusement Park of Scotch Plains. It's not as big as six flags at all but there are a lot funs there. We enjoyed our time there. There are a variety of games there. Everyboby, kids or adults, can enjoy themselves there. It is very convenient, just off US 22 west. Parking? No problem at all. more

Fun for the little ones, not so much for you 8/4/2005

Lots of fun rides for little kids up to I guess 12, and a fun mini golf course thats even good for teenagers or couples hanging out. However, the rides are anoying because the are ticket per ticket which can add up (not that pre-paid amusement parks are cheap) and some of the rides are a bit antiquated. more

Grat Fun for Children! 7/29/2005

This amusement park offers lots of rides, miniature golf, and games for children. It an a great place for groups or to have your child's birthday parties. You buy ride tickets and kids will spend all day going on one ride after the other -- without going on any ride twice. There are rides for kids of all ages. Then after riding all day and taking a break with some food, you can have some fun playing their 18 hole miniature golf. They also offer birthday parties and all the kids will have a great time--you get 1 hour in the birthday room with food and cake after spending an hour on the rids -- you'll have your child's name displayed in lights. A really fun time for the family. A great way to spend a summer day. And there are some very reasonable prices for tickets. more
