Boulevard & Trumbull Towing

On January 25, at around 4:45 AM (according to court testimony), my 1996 Chevy was towed by B and T towing company of Detroit. \r My car had plates with current tags and was properly insured. It was not located in a no parking zone and posed no hazard to anyone. It was not imposing on anyone's private property. Moreover, my home was only some 90 feet away from the car's location!\r The police did not red tag the car or give me any other sort of warning that it would be towed. I understand that they are no longer required to do so by law yet this basically leaves the owner of the car with no idea what happened and only adds to delays in getting to the bottom of the issue and higher ""storage fees.""\r The car was stuck in a cluster of snow and ice and could not be moved by conventional means. When my room mate and I attempted to move the car using his aunt's truck and my (other) car, both vehicles were temporarily stuck in the mess. Were it not for the severity of the weather, the car would have been moved sooner.\r Michigan law states that the police department is to notify the Michigan Department Of Transportation within 24 hours of towing an 'abandoned' vehicle. The law goes on to say that the state then has seven days to notify the owner of the vehicle's seizure. My car was seized on January 25 yet the letter from the state that I received was dated February 17. Clearly, someone dropped the ball in getting back to me! \r I reported the car stolen the same day it was seized. The police officer on duty accessed his computer system and gave me a report number yet nothing was said or suggested that the car had or could have been towed.\r I went to 31st District Court to contest the towing and lost the case. B and T towing now wants some $1,138.00 to release the vehicle. \r I sent them the signed title by registered mail on Tuesday, March 25 in a bid to avoid any more hassles. With the title, I included a letter stating that if they accept the title, they agree to wave any further fees against me.\r So called ""storage fees"" are simply a risk and cost free way for a towing company to make some extra cash. The $300.00 (give or take) that B and T Towing will make from the sale of my car as scrap metal will more than cover any towing fees incurred. \r For all the above stated reasons, I refuse to pay another dime to B and T Towing. more

Awful angry people at this company....no sense of humanity....complete ripoffs more

Ok. so, i hit some debris in the road on I-94. I really didn't want to tell my boss because I knew I would get in big trouble and miss my delivery. I called B&T, who tows our trucks, and they were there to help me in what felt like minutes. The driver knew what to do so fast and he really calmed me down. They switched out my tractor and got my load to its destination before our customer closed. Thank Youuuuuu!!!!! You saved my job!!!!! more

I want to take a moment to say how blessed I felt when B&T helped me on the highway. I was angry, i was going to be late to pick up my kid from school when I got a flat tire on I-75. I called the first number that I found, and their tow truck arrived to me so fast, they changed my tire and I only had to pay $65. I know God was looking out for me that day. more

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT, CROOKED ORGANIZATION. THEY WILL ILLEGALLY TOW YOUR VEHICLE, IN EXCHANGE FOR VERY EXPENSIVE IMPOUND FEES. GROSSLY INFLATED TOWING FEES, PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS TOWING COMPANY. THEIR EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE AND ARROGANT AND TREAT YOU LIKE CRAP. THEY RESORT TO TRICKERY AND MAKING PEOPLE'S LIVES HELL. YOU WILL GET YOUR'S SOMEDAY. PLEASE AVOID THESE CROOKS AT ALL COSTS. THIS COMPANY WAS THE SUBJECT OF AN INVESTIGATIVE REPORT REGARDING QUESTIONABLE CONTRACTS/ALLOWANCES/PRIVILEGES WITH THE CITY OF DETROIT. IT'S UNBELIEVABLE THAT THESE GANGSTERS ARE NOT SHUT DOWN. WHERE'S THE ATTORNEY GENERAL WHEN YOU NEED HIM? BILL SCHUETTE ARE YOU LISTENING? WHY THEY'RE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN BUSINESS IS BEYOND ME! As usual Boulevard & Trumbell has screwed someone again! They were on scene of accident before it was even determined my daughters car needed towing! Why they're allowed to continue business is beyond me! They steal, lie AND cheat Tax paying citizens when they're at their lowest points and most vulnarable. Mayor Bing and ATTORNEY GENERAL, Please get involved as we know these cant possibly be your policies. Thank you more

If you can help it, do not use this service. I was informed that all of the contents from my car were stolen by the little punk who stole my car, but the punk was in in accident before he got a few blocks from the site of the theft. All electronics, ie Garmin, speakers, phone cords, etc..where missing. This means either the police took them or the towing company. You can guess who. more

Please beware of this towing company. Their employees are rude and arrogant and treat you with crap even after paying 255 USD tow fee. Education in America is free, Aspire to achieve rather than resorting to trickery and making people's life hell. You will get yours someday. Please avoid these crooks at all cost. more

Over the weekend, my car would not start. I was downtown at a meeting and working late. I had been having car trouble for some time and when i least needed it, my car gave out. I immediately googled a towing service and called the first company to pop up. In just minutes a B&T tow truck pulled up to assist me. I can't tell you what a relief it was to see that truck pull up and know they were there to assist me at that time of night. I can't thank them enough! Pros: Fast and friendly service late at night. more
