I had worked with Bouchard Pierce twice before the most recent experience. Both were with Tom Pierce regarding appliances. Tom was great and a huge help. Given how great my experience with him had been, I decided to use BP for a custom vanity I wanted for a bathroom. I worked with Chris von Genechten. We told her what kind of vanity we were looking for and she directed us to the medalion line. We relied on her experience to set us up with a reliable manufacturer. Chris told us that it would take 2 weeks after the date of order for it to be in our house. We were told that orders are only placed on Mondays. We gave the go ahead in person over the weekend and provided a deposit and were told the vanity would be ordered that monday. Two weeks later we discovered that our order wasn't placed on time and that Chris was wrong and it actually takes 4 weeks for the vanity to be delivered. This wouldn't be a problem except the room was being rented and two weeks was just enough time to get the bathroom completed before the tenant moved in. I had to significantly discount rent for the tenants first month because of Chris' lack of knowledge. Chris convinces me that it will come in the week of April 27. I agree to proceed knowing that I've already put so much time into working with Chris that it will take just as long to start from the beginning with someone else. April 27 rolls by and no word from Chris or BP. I call to check in and am told by Chris that she learned the previous day that my vanity was LOST. She wasn't going to even call me to tell me the unfortunate news. Nothing is worse than a salesperson that can't be honest. She tells me that they will have a new vanity here by the middle of May. I now have an un-rentable space for another 2 weeks. Rather than try to appropriately correct the situation, or even offer to install a temporary sink until the correct one arrives, they tell me that they will offer a nominal discount. They wasted two months of my time as I sat waiting for them to deliver a product that they allegedly stand behind.
Chris has to be the worst sales person I have ever experienced. I have had a lot of ups and downs since beginning renovations but no one has tried to fix their mistakes less than Chris von Genechten.
If Chris approaches you, find a different sales associate!
Working with Chris has destroyed any positive memories I had of working with BP.
