Boswell Motel

Saw a sign on U.S. 41 near Boswell advertising the Boswell Motel. As we approached the motel - what we saw was a disappointment as we were tired and in need of resting, but not at this motel. The motel was closed and looked like it had been abandoned for years. What a pitful site and a pity, as it had been the only motel in the county, which is now growing due to the growth of the Fowler Ridge Wind Farms. We saw hundreds of wind turbines erected and in the process of being erected along U. S. 41 bypassing the town of Boswell. Where were the construction employees lodging we pondered? Along U.S. 41 a sign advertising the Boswell Motel prompted me to drive to it's location. When we approached the motel what we saw was a deteriorating runned down motel that appeared to have been abandoned for quite some time. I was later informed that the Boswell Motel had been the only motel in Benton County, Indiana. Another sign read " Boswell, the hub of the Universe" This is obviously a joke, as there is no hub to begin with. The downtown was deserted of life and all but a few runned down buildings.
