I hired Mark Borns law office to handle my divorce proceedings. I live up in Portage County and originally hired a divorce attorney near my local area with whom I had an extremely bad experience with. Her office was very unproffessional, unorganized, unprepared for court, etc. I knew I needed to hire a new attorney and not just any attorney but the best I could find in the state of Wisconsin regardless of how far I needed to travel. After much research, I found Mark Borns office in Madison, WI and after my first phone conferencce with him, I knew he was the attorney I needed all along. Mark and his office have worked diligently to unsort the mess my previous attorney left my divorce proceedings in. more

Mark Borns has been my attorney since 2006. His dedication, knowledge, communication skills, sense of humor and concern are second to none. He has successfully represented me through a long, complicated, and stressful divorce; and has represented me over the years on related issues that have arisen (post-divorce). Borns to represent us in real estate transactions and with estate planning; his knowledge and understanding of the law , ability to explain the legal reasons for his recommendations always made us feel comfortable with our decisions. Atty. Borns is thorough, ethical, realistic in what the legal system can and can't do, and what he can do to navigate his clients through a complicated system of laws that often don't make sense to a layperson. more

The Best I've ever worked with 5/30/2011

The most responsive, available, and timely law office I have ever dealt with. They were clear with an explanation of the proccess of my case and were extremely thourogh indicating exactly what I needed to provide for a successful outcome. They were always available even at night and on weekends! During our face to face meetings I felt like they truley cared about what I was experiencing. I wish I would have been aware of them in 2005, they would have saved me a lot of grief. I whole heartedly recommend them. Thanks Mark and Jane! more

Not Impressed 2/24/2011

Very disappointed? I originally went with Mark based on what I had read about. However, throughout the divorce I found that e-mails became excessive due to his responses being vague. I had to ask for specifics and descriptions. Each e-mail is costly and they add up fast. I had to ask repeatedly for documentation...ie: DeNovo hearing records. I requested a copy at least four to five times over several months... more
