Borges Ranch Park was a unique learning experience for me. Back in the 4th grade my class and I took a trip here and we spent 2 nights/ 3 days here. Instead of going to the museums or galleries and looking at history we were able to become a part of it and act out life as it was back then. We weren’t able to do certain things such as watch television or listen to the radio. There was a lake where we could fish and the one thing I remembered the most was when we cooked food from this time period. All my classmates and teachers helped out in making sausages, baking biscuits and other things as well. This is a once in a lifetime experience, so if you can’t go with a class go see for yourself what ranch life was all about.
