I love bookstores but usually have problems finding good customer service in the larger bookstores. This particular Borders Books is a huge exception to that. The staff is incredibly helpful, they make an effort to get to know you as a customer and what your likes and dislikes are. I have had suggestions made by staff members as to books I might like or that my kids might enjoy and to be honest, the simple effort they make has made it worth my while to go and peruse those shelves. They have great sale books that are often cheaper than the Barnes & Noble sale shelves - sometimes with kids books that extra dollar or two can make a difference! They also have a great selection of music, movies from new releases to foreign films to tv shows (British series, too! Dr. Who on DVD, beautiful thing and not so easy to find at Target!) I love that I can usually find the harder-to-find films and CDs at this Borders - it's that extra bonus that goes with a brilliant cup of tea or coffee to enjoy while flipping through a new book or magazine! In the eight years I have lived near and shopped at this Borders, I have never once had a bad experience with customer service. That is so very rare. They deserve all five stars and more!
Pros: Customer service, Jan at the help desk, the cafe, the selection, book and CD signings, storytime for the kids
Cons: Cafe seating is a bit too small.
