Bookman's Used Books Music & Software

I started shopping here in college and it is the perfect place for anyone on a budget to get almost any type of entertainment items. They carry magazines, books, PC and console games, CDs, laser discs, DVDs, puzzles/games, software, and many other items. They have different credits that you can get by trading in your used items (A and B) which can then be used on purchases, mostly of items similar to what you traded in. The cash value offered for your items is usually poorer than what you could get with the trade credit. Their return policy is great as well. more

Great family bookstore! Love the variety! I can get my paperbacks, kids can get a video or dvd and hubby can get a Playstation 2 game. There's something for everyone. Quiet, well-organized, helpful and friendly staff. Also have a really nice children's area with stuff for the little ones to do, tot sized furniture and kids videos/dvds. Trade you old books and music in for new ones. They almost always take my whole stack when I come in and I get good amount of credit in exchange. I actually haven't paid for a book or video in a few years because I keep recycling what we have. Favorite place to go with the kids on weekends. They get to pick out a book or video and not break my bank! more

My family and I love to frequent Bookman's on Grant and on Speedway . They have a large selection of used (and sometimes new) books, DVDs, knick-knacks, clothes, CDs, toys, video games, and even furniture. We often bring things in from our home that we no longer need. You are then given a choice of store credit or cash for the items that they decide to buy. We usually take the credit because you get more for your money that way. I like their 100% guarantee on everything in the store. My kids love the kid's section where they feel special because of their own section. There's also a room which you can reserve for conferences. The bathroom decor at Bookman's on Speedway is very nice... one of the best public bathrooms I've been in. The employees at Bookman's are also very helpful with finding stuff that I need. Although I would like to see more college textbooks, the place has a great selection on everything. more

Bookmans is a great used bookstore. They also have tons of music, DVDs, videos and games. My daughter loves to go in a pick out her own books. It’s hard to sell/trade books to them sometimes because they often don’t buy the books I have or they offer too little, but it’s still a great place. The employees are always very knowledgeable and friendly as well. more

I would highly recommend this place! Bookman's is a great place to go to exchange used/new books, magazines, video games, cds etc, for store credit for more books and such. It's especially great to exchange used magazines. Personally, my family uses the credit mostly for dvds, and school books. more

While Bookman's trades in music, movies, software, and video games, it is best known for books. It's a great place to pick up the latest paperback, kids' books, or mystery. The selection is decent, and the prices are pretty good. Bookman's is a fun place to spend a couple of leisurely hours flipping through or reading books, magazines, etc. They also have activities for kids and adults on a regular basis. Trading in your books is not an easy task, however, as they frequently don't seem to need what you have, unless it's the latest hot item. I recommend Bookman's, but don't get your hopes up too high about selling your stuff there for a high price. more

Okay, so I haven't had alot of luck selling my books to Bookmans but I love to buy books at Bookmans! All of you in College, taking English classes, go to the used bookstores like Bookmans first before paying too much at the college bookstores. I love Bookman's children's area. Nice places to sit and read. You can't beat the deals on the books either- new books can be so expensive! There are some fun free activities for the kids too- like magic shows and reptile exhibits- check with the store for dates and times. more
