Book Nook

The Book Nook is a nice place to relax and read a book or even write one. A lot of people seem to come in for coffee and sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and professional. They'll ask you if you need help, but they won't follow you around if you're one of those more self-sufficient shoppers. The upstairs is cozy enough. It's a nice, relaxing atmosphere. They close at 6:00 p.m. though, which is kind of disappointing. more

When I have to go downtown to run errands, I always find myself back here to look around for something new or to get a suggestion from the staff about something new to try. Even if they do not have the item in stock, they can usually get it for you in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and I find myself spending hours there even if I hadn't planned to when I came in. The food is excellent and they are more than accomodating with requests. My son's birthday party was the first one held there and it is something that he and everyone else still rave about even though it's been 3 years ago now. Best bookstore in town in my opinion. Pros: Great atmosphere, comfortable, great staff Cons: Sometimes limited selection more

Wonderful ambiance/friendly service/nice selection/divine cakes and pastry. Every reader should treat themselves to this used bookstore. I love the sound of the original hardwood floors as they creak when you walk on them. So enchanting. See you there! more
