This place is like a social hub. The books are all good but the people in it make this place special. I really want to be a part of this place. more

They All Carry Guns! 2/16/2011

The Book Nook is a bastion of right-wing patriots. Shop with a feeling of safety, as most of the time, over half of the employees are packin' heat. Some nights...all of them. Approved by the owner, too! Sold him a little Smith & Wesson Airweight years ago. more

Book Nook is GREAT 9/10/2009

I loved it. I found everything I was looking for, new and old. They have a wide selection of books and helpful staff who gave me some excellent reading suggestions. Every purchase has been of good quality and for an EXCELLENT price. more

A Great Place to purchase books 12/21/2007

I've been going to the Book Nook since 1980. You wouldn't believe how much money I've saved by purchasing books there. Whenever I've gone there, I've just about always found what I was looking for. The quality of their used books is high, since those are inspected before they put them on the shelves. I love browsing in there and finding great books to read! more

My favorite used book store. 6/5/2006

This is the first stop I make when I'm looking for a book. The selection is just overwhelming. From comics to DVDs to music CDs to unusual books such as "Celluloid Treasures of the Victorian Era," this store has it all. They're fairly well organized, or at least most are. Book sections are categorized and so is the non-fiction. Fiction is by category (Drama, Western, etc.) then by author. The haphazardness comes in non-fiction. While they are also categorized (History, Nature, Pets, etc.) it ends there. There doesn't appear to be any further organization and even they have trouble telling you where to find a book. You just have to go through the stacks. All in all though, it's really worth it. The prices are winners for sure and the employees are as helpful as they can be. Pros: Large Selection Cons: Stacks to go through more

A long-time favorite 11/15/2005

I have enjoying browsing and shopping at the Book Nook for years. I heartily enjoy finding just the right gift for all the book lovers in my life. The customer service is consistently courteous and timely. I can spend hours on end just browsing around but I always manage to leave with an item or two. PROS: Price, Location, Selection CONS: Fewer new titles more

A delight for bookworms and friendly, knowledgeable staff! 7/22/2005

The Book Nook doesn't carry just books, but records, movies, and comics as well. There's no telling what you might find in the shop that will strike your fancy. Carrying mostly used books, the shop will also buy your gently used books (and sometimes movies) if the market is right. There's a lot of explore here, so make sure you have plenty of time to browse around. The staff is friendly and helpful, and can usually locate something specific if you know what you want. Parking is generous, but traffic on North Druid Hills can be hairy during rush hour. more

Great 7/15/2005

A great place, I really liked all the books that they had. The items were not all old, they had new editions at GREAT prices, I cannot wait to go back again. more

Book resale 5/21/2005

I love this store. Not quite the huge variety of a newbook sales store, but still great. Filled with previously read books, and at some places, even CD's. If you take in your old books or CD's they buy them from you, or you can use the ammount as a store credit towards your purchase. Friendly staff, and very kid-friendly. more

Get It Here 8/26/2002

If you're looking for a book or CD or video, it's worth a trip to the Book Nook. Save a lot of money by getting used merchandise that is still in good shape. I've found the same CD that sells for $14 at new stores for $7.99 or less at the BookNook. Pros: inexpensive, good parking Cons: hit & miss selection more
