Book Broker

...if you can find it. I've been going to the Book Broker since I was a small child tagging along with my older brother. I can remember walking in with awe at the rows and rows of books, and couldn't wait to sit down in an aisle with a soda and browse to my heart's content. The store has changed a little bit since then - moved locations and added different kinds of merchandise - but that little girl inside me still gets excited when I visit. I can sit in the store for hours, literally, and peruse their entire collection at my leisure. I appreciate the fact that there aren't salespeople roaming the store asking if I need help. It's a very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Yes, things are a bit unorganized. No, the staff is not going to be able to tell you exactly where every single book is. If you want that, then go to a "big name" bookstore. I personally enjoy searching for that rare book or item that no one else has, and getting it for less. more

Even though this store has a huge selection of everything from out of print books to baseball cards, to comic books and action figures, it's an unorganized, filthy mess. Also, if there are more than five people in this store, good luck getting assisted by an employee within thirty minutes. In my opinion, this store has a lot of potential to prosper, yet won't be getting my business any time soon. more

They have a fairly good selection to choose from, but the prices still seem a bit pricey and the store could be cleaner. But overall, if you can find what you are looking for, it's worth it. We have found several video games for the nintendo that we could not find elsewhere. I've have never seen it overly crowded. more

This is one of those Buy, Sell, Trade places. They have good prices on books, cds, records, tapes, movies, sports memorabilia as well as movie memorabilia. Oh, and also comic books. It doesn't have a lot of parking. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is kind of dusty and dark in there and almost looks dirty but then again most places that carry used books and such are. You don't get much when you sell there but you can generally find a good deal there. more
