OK. Not quite as good as the book shops in London, Paris, and New York, but this small used book shop near Pasadena's ""theater district"" does have that dog-eared charm. The shelves are crammed with good fiction, history, and non-fiction of all kinds, hardbound and paperback. Books waiting to be filed are serenely stacked on the floor. And the quiet atmosphere exudes the good humor, judicious gossip, and discriminating taste found in co-owner Peter Hay's own book: Theatrical Anecdotes, published by the Oxford University Press.
