Teenage daughter, sister and I did the 2 hour dolphin trip. Well worth the money. You pay for the waverunner not the people. Our trip was $125 per waverunner. We got 2. One, two or three people per waverummer, 500 lbs limit per waverunner. Boogies knows how to process people. We had a reservation and then had to fill out paper work upon arrival. Lots of people at the booth, so they are very busy yet efficient. They make you write your credit card number on the fcheck in forms for any damage that you may do to the waverunner. If you stop back at the booth after your trip, they will use permanent marker to black out your credit card number.\r
The trip was really fun! Lots of dolphins ! The waverunners were only 4 days old when we took our trip, so great equipment! There is a safety video before going out. The trip was guided. This means the guides lead you to where the dolphins are. There are dolphins everywhere! As far as staying together as a group...not so much. Although they did keep track of the number of waverunners and if they were short one, a guide would circle back and look for you. You do go out into the Gulf so be sure the water is relatively calm. The mouth of the channel out to the Gulf will be very choppy due to the ammount of traffic going in and out. Know that a bit more speed rather than less speed is helpful. In the bay there are lots of dolphins, too. The bay is much smoother and Crab Island sandbar is a nice place to stop and give your legs a stretch. All in all- highly recommended!
