Bonsai Thai & Sushi

I have tried A LOT of sushi restaurants but like this one none. I gave up my search for my fave and decided to give Bonsai the title.... they treat you very well and you get top quality food and service. more

I'm not one to take the time to review restaurants, but after eating at Bonsai I knew I needed to tell other people about it! A friend invited me thursday night and I had this insane spicy octopus appetizer! My bartender suggested trying sake with it because it's great with spicy dishes! I got this insane cucumber tyku drink. can't wait to go back! Pros: unique, full of flavors Cons: nothing! more

Bonsai restaurant knows a thing or two or three about sushi. There is no other place that can make me a JB (Japanese Bagel) roll that will melt in my mouth. The staff is efficient and very friendly. The decor is warm and inviting. They also have Thai food if you're not into sushi. The prices are reasonable especially in this economy. Best place ever --- let's just say ""They are on a sushi roll."" more

Bonsai Restaurant has the most amazing sushi in all of Miami!!! I love the beautiful decor, ambiance and of course the SUSHI. I was impressed with their super friendly and attentive staff. My friends and I go there every Tuesday night for our girl's dinner. The portions are huge and at a great price. The new expressway on 137th is perfect, because I just get off there, drive 2 minutes and Bonsai is on the left-hand side. Pros: The huge sushi portions!!! The amazing service. more

The fisrt time I went to Bonsai I was very weary, thinking how good can sushi be when the restaurant is in a strip plaza on SW 8th street??? Boy was I in for a very big surprise! Not only is the sushi fresh and delicious, but the service is first rate too. The staff is very knowledgeable and are more than happy to explain anything on their menu for you. I went with my youngest brother who is just starting to eat sushi, he was blown away by the food and service. He made sure to let our server know what he did not like and the chef made sure to make his sushi just as ordered. I recommend ordering the Tuna Yuki as an appitizer, it is mouth watering. I have tried all of their rolls and still can't make up my mind which one I loved the most! BTW, I asked the chef to surprise me with a special roll (let him know I did not like octopus) and when the server brooght out the roll I knew I was in for a treat.
