Bonnie Ruth's is a little bit of France in Frisco. On a recent visit, we had succulent , not chewy, mussels, garlicky, cinnamony escargot , a pear and walnut salad and rich, spicy cassolette, followed by a flawless, silky creme brulee. I had given up on creme brulees, because too many of them have the consistency of vanilla pudding. Not this one! Silky, smooth, vanilla-bean flavored, with a nicely crunchy crust. Delicious. The French bread complements the mussels and main courses. The bill? So reasonable, we asked if a mistake had been made! We'll be returning again and again and again.
