We ordered 3 dinners. Each was supposed to come with a salad and naan. We got 1 salad and no naan. This is the second time my order via grubhub has been incorrect. Also, the menu items that grubhub has are typically wrong 40% of the time. I had to change my order with Bombay because two of the items that I had initially ordered (from their menu) were no longer available. You would have thought that they would have given me something for free for the inconvenience. Instead, they gave me less than what I ordered. more

What a disappointment 3/8/2010

I really had high hopes for this place because it is walking distance from my house but what a letdown. I tried the Tikka Chicken Masala. The chicken pieces were all dark meat and seemed to be all the leftover pieces they could find. The curry sauce wasn't real flavorful and tasted like something that was mass produced. The Naan bread was okay but the serving size was ridiculous. It was like someone ripped a quarter piece off and wrapped it in foil. A good serving size, if you're a mouse. I would recommend either Sitar in Sorrento Valley or Indian Tandoor in Mira Mesa. Both of them give you big chunks of chicken breast in the Tikka Chicken Masala plates and their Naan bread portion is 4 times the size of this place. The sauce is much better and they give you the option of mild, medium, or spicy. This place does not. I wish I had more hands so I could give this place 4 thumbs down. Pros: Close to my place Cons: Everything else more

Super food, super service 10/13/2008

Bombay Coast catered for my brother's wedding last week. The food was excellent and the service wonderful. I am hard pressed to point out anything that should have been done differently (and this is coming from a family of Indian folks who are really passionate about food!!). The lamp curry (spicy) and the ras malai (dessert) were my favorites. Zubin & his staff are very friendly and pleasant folks.\r We also ate at the restaurant and the food there was good too. I would absolutely recommend it for good Indian food, not heavy on the oil and excellent service. Pros: Good food, good service more

Sample sizes are the best! 10/4/2008

Can't decide what to choose, no problem. The owner will bring out little cups with little spoons so you can try all the regular dishes and the special for the day Tikki mango chicken on this day. We tried 5 different dishes and all superb. We ended up with the lamb, chicken tikki marsala and the tikki mango special. \r \r You should try a yeti while you are there too. Enjoy. more

Best Indian Food in San Diego! 7/5/2008

Bombay Coast is a great place for an authentic Indian dinner. The food is very reasonably priced and excellent in quality. They have the best Lamb curry in town! This is by far the best Indian food in San Diego. I also had them cater food for my reception and it was the highlight of the evening. Their staff and service is comparable to a five star restaurant. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good Indian food. more

Bombay Coast is the mecca for reasonably priced exquisite Indian food. The lamb curry rocks just like the prawns and chicken. One of the largest collection of Indian beers Bombay Coast is a great place to dine if one is looking for maximum value for the dollar spent. To top it all owner is a great guy who makes all his customers feel at home. Its a must to try this place. more

nice place to have a beer and some kabob with your friends,I really like the way the staff handles your orders and how quickly the order is delivered to your table cooked .It is set up like a fast food place but ran like a sit down fancy place and best of all you have a lot of choices of currys and breads, but the best thing is they got a open chutney bar with pickle and stuff so i really enjoyed that .I cant wait to come here next time . more

Great quality, portion sizes and authentic flavors for a great price 6/14/2008

This is a highly recommended place to eat. My family and I eat here at least once a week. The incredibly friendly staff and warm atmosphere make dining here a pleasure. There is a huge menu that caters to vegitarians as well as choices for those who are trying to watch their diet. The curry's are authentic and extremely flavorful. I would recommend the Chicken Tikka Massala for those who enjoy a sweet mild curry. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. This place is truly a treat and their prices are incredible for the quality and amount of food served. The service and friendliness of the owners are priceless!! Pros: Ambience, Service, Portion size, Authentic Flavors, Range of menu options Cons: Parking can be difficult when it is peak movie watching time more
