Worst Restaurant 9/28/2006

If anyone of you all looking for Catering Service then Do not go with Bombay Resturant. Pros: food is okay Cons: Poor Service, Rude Behaviour more

My Favorite 8/8/2006

This restaurant is our favorite Indian restaurant in Austin. The ingredients are extra-fresh, and the service is great. The lunch buffet during the week often changes and while sometimes, waits are long (especially on Fridays) the food is wonderful and service prompt. Dishes are North Indian and well worth the money spent! The reason we like this place is the freshness of all the food and ingredients, and we go back often. Pros: Great fresh food and good variety of North Indian dishes Cons: Sometimes the manager/owner can be kind of overbearing, crowded on some days more

Awesome Indian 4/16/2006

Really good indian cuisine finally in North Austin. Ambience, service and the quality of the food was great. We were in a big group and none of us had anything to complain about. I think I will be a regular here. Pros: Great food, Good service, Great Ambience more

Good food, so-so service 1/22/2006

Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant for the good food and ambience. The dishes we ordered were very good with excellent spice combinations. The wait staff could use a lot of improvement. They were friendly and accomodating, but everyone seemed to be new to the restaurant business. Getting the check took a couple of requests, all of the food came out separately, and water was either refilled every 5 minutes or disappeared for 20. Austin is generally lacking in Indian cuisine compared to other cities, so this is a welcome addition in my eyes. It's not the absolute best, but it's definitely good enough to keep going back. Pros: Ambience, Food, Location Cons: Service more

Excellent 12/5/2005

Really good food and ambience. A very classy restaurant. The mutton curry is awesome. The vegi food was good too. Pros: ambience, service, food Cons: nothing more

OK for vegetarian food 11/30/2005

This place had catered vegetarian fare for a friend's dinner and I thought that the food was OK. But, when some friends and I went to dinner Thanksgiving weekend, it was nowhere near OK. The maitre'd was disinterested and a far, far call from good service. The fish was hugely undercooked, and the batter coating on the ""fish amritsari"" was thick and raw. Same with the fish curry (yea, what were we thinking with two fish dishes!). The paneer dishes were greasy but better than the fish. Overall, this is an OK place for vegetarian food but even then, it's not value for your money. more

Delicious! 11/7/2005

The buffet that day was north Indian fare, with a nice dal curry, creamy palak paneer, vegetable korma, a couple of soups, and other small dishes. The meal comes with a basket of naan that is delivered to your table. I liked everything I tried, and the spice level was detectable, but not over-the-top. They also have a large menu for dinner and take-out with many vegetarian items. I'll certainly return sometime soon. Pros: Selection, Price, Atmosphere more

Beautiful Decor 11/7/2005

Don't be detoured by it's location in the shopping mall next to HEB, they have completely redone the interior of this place and turned it into a fine dining Indian restaurant. If you're new to Indian cuisine, you may want to try the lunch buffet due to the variety of dishes you can sample. The food was very fresh, hot, and delicious. I highly recommend this new restaurant. Pros: Lunch Buffet, Atmopshere, Staff more
