Best Indian anywhere! 11/22/2008

This is the best Indian restaurant I've eaten in anywhere, and this includes New York and London (I've never been to India). The people who wrote the negative review had an unusual experience. True, I've been there when it was crowded and the service was a bit spacey, but on the whole the service is attentive and the food is beyond excellent--fresh, carefully prepared, lots of vegetables, regional specialties. A cut above the average good Indian restaurat--fine dining, really--that you might not expect from a restaurant in a motel. This is a restaurant I've eaten in once a month or more now for as long as it's been open. A real haven in the area. more

A hidden jewel 7/18/2007

This restaurant is inside a hotel, but the food and service really stand out. The staff is attuned to your needs and tries to anticipate your wishes. I have always been seated quickly and graciously. more

Exceptional Indian Restaurant 6/18/2007

The Bombay Bar & Grill in Lee, MA is an exceptional Indian restaurant. The dishes are expertly prepared from the best and freshest ingredient. The presentation is first rate and the staff is excellent. There is great variety in the menu. The restaurant features Indian dishes from southern India, but serves food from all regions, as well. I highly recommend the Sunday buffet. There are always several excellent main dishes that range from traditional tandoori chicken, biryanis, curried meat dishes, milder chicken dishes such as the very popular chicken tikka masala to a tasty variety of veggie dishes. The sauces are deliciously flavorful and range from spicy to mild. There are many southern dishes in the buffet, as well, such as sambar. Nan, chat, dosa, salad, chutneys, desserts, and fruit and are included in the buffet. Mango drinks are very popular. The main menu has a wonderful assortment of tasty dishes, from mild to spicy, from meat and fish to veggie entrees. I highly recommend the fish in banana leaf. The restaurant has a full bar and serves Indian beers. A lover of Indian food would be hard pressed to find better Indian restaurant! more

Awful! 5/30/2007

My husband and I went to the Bombay Bar and Grill for dinner. It took 20 minutes for restaurant staff to acknowledge us and take our name, 20 additional minutes until we were seated, and another 40 minutes for our dinner to arrive. The wait staff largely ignored our table and the food was mediocre at best. The setting was pleasant, as it overlooked a lake, but this was largely eclipsed due to the long wait, poor service, and boring food. Pros: pretty view Cons: poor food, poor service, over priced more
