A little background: I am a pacifist and I try to never write reviews (negative or positive) regarding a hospitality establishment... I just return my business to a great place and never return to a "sub-par" establishment. Bokampers absolutely shatters that rule. My experience there was the absolute WORST restaurant experience I've ever had (and I dine out quite a bit) in my life of 29 years. Let me list the reasons:\r
\r
-For 4 people, 1 order of nachos, and 50 medium wings took over 80 minutes to reach us. Unacceptable from a kitchen.\r
\r
-We were sitting on the outside portion of the restaurant and our table had ants all over the floor, spiders around roof, and a black cat had been patrolling the premises. While I am an animal lover, having wild animals and insects around me during dinner out at a restaurant is unprofessional at the least. \r
\r
-Our server was NOT courteous all 2 times we saw him in 80 minutes. Unacceptable from a server\r
\r
-I asked the server to speak to a manager, and after 20 minutes, he never showed up. I then walked to the hostess and asked to speak to the manager and for the manager to make his way to us took a timed 12:41. Unacceptable from a manager.\r
\r
-While waiting for the manager with the hostess at the front, the hostess was rude to me and continued to make excuses to us regarding the manager that did not match what our server was telling us about the manager. \r
\r
-When the manager arrived, he was dressed like a bum (poorly dressed in a sloppy polo shirt and stained cargo shorts, tatoos across his body, heavy smell of cigarettes) and his demeanor mirrored one. I expressed my grievances to him and he replied with the standard "what can I do to make you happy?" I then said we just wanted to leave and just pay for the single pitcher of beer we had purchased. After reluctance, he agreed but offered to give us a discount on the food if we wanted to stay. I was dumbfounded... a discount? A good manager would have comped the entire meal just to save face and hope for a return customer. NOO, NOT BOKAMPERS, What a dump.\r
\r
-On our way out, the manager didn't apologize, continued to make shitty excuses by saying that the reason for the delays were because of Monday Night Football and being short staffed 2 people in the kitchen. While I sympathize, one of my friends with me during the experience had worked as a manager at the Cheesecake Factory for 3 years. He told me that holidays and sporting occasions should be NO EXCUSE for a manager mishandling a schedule and that he should have staffed extra employees for days when guest volume is expected to peak. Also, at Cheesecake Factory, managers are automatically summoned to tables if appetizers take more than 7 minutes to come out and entrees take more than 20 minutes after order. But then again, why would I even compare a great establishment to a shithole in the same review? \r
\r
\r
I have never in my life left a restaurant while waiting for food/service, but there is a first time for everything thanks to BoKampers. WHAT A DUMP! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON SHITTY FOOD, CRUMMY SERVICE, AND A POOR ATMOSPHERE. \r
Following BoKampers, we went to Millers Davie Ale House and our dining experience was not only better overall, we ordered the same food as we did at BoKampers and it was approx $12.00 less expensive. \r
