Boiling Springs Tavern has a lot going for it. First it's in Boiling Springs, which is about as pretty a little town you can find in Central PA. The tavern itself is a neat building with a great bar area and pleasant dining rooms.my wife and I first went there two years ago to the day actually. Had a great evening with food that wasn't spectacular but respectable. We've gone there on a number of different occasions since then. Sadly, aach time we have gone the experience has been a less pleasant one then the last. This final trip there, last night was just plain awful. Bickering wait staff in the dining room and an absolutely awful dinner for both of us. My wife had the sea bass which I think was a special. In her words it was Nasty. I had the veal and prosciutto. The blue cheese salad dressing was salty the sauce on the veal was salty and tasted like some cheap packet store bought sauce you add water to. I spent the rest of my night awake quite sick to my stomach.
Stop by to see Boiling Springs, but pack a picnic, I wouldn't risk eating at the tavern again.
