I believe it was a scam. I would rate no stars if I could. I got roped in for the special with the champagne and candy.
Awful waste of a Groupon special. $65 for "Make believe" Massage, "Make believe" Facial. A piece of chocolate & Korbel champagne in plastic glass.
The spa decor is amazingly beautiful ! The workers are under-developed. Look like college kids just learning how to perform the services.
Don't waste your money !! Go elsewhere. I was told I was going to have a certain lady numerous times and in walks someone else. They cannot even tell you who you will have for your service because "they are busy" because of the Groupon special.
If you have gotten Massages and Facials, you will know what I mean. Got only 1/2 of my body massaged. Won't even go in to details there - nothing to talk about. I didn't feel massaged when I got up.
Facial consisted of (1) "face cleansing" with a cotton ball, (2) an extraction on my face in the dark in 2 spots, (3) almond scrub which just sat on my face for 1 minute then removed with a HARD old looking hand towel, (4) then a mask which didn't even harden, then removed with that same hard hand towel, (5) then a moisturizer to follow. Lasted all of 30 mins. Oh and I got a hand massage.
So all in all I paid $65 for a glass of champagne and chocolate, which I loved. I was mortified ! Couldn't even talk afterwards, I was almost in tears. Just drank and left.
Go somewhere else. If you want good services for a cheap price, find places in Manhattan, like Metspa, or the real Bliss Spa. They are great !
