Good service, no BS. This place is old school: give the customer what they need (no upselling), do it right the first time and treat them like a friend. Have had a few vehicles here for exhaust repair. Go nowhere else. Worth the wait if it is busy or make an appointment. more

Easy on your budget and quality repairs- Bob's Muffler 12/16/2011

I operate an independent Honda and Toyota repair shop in the Garner, NC area. I recommend Bob's Muffler to my customers quite often. The P0420 and other catalytic converter below threshold codes are common and not all customers can afford the OEM repair options. Don't get ripped off, take your car to Bob's 12/14/2011

I've been to bob's 3 times now. I have a subaru WRX and my aftermarket muffler developed a tremendously loud and annoying rattle. The manufacturer wouldn't replace the unit under warranty and no other shop would do the job for under 500 bucks. Pros: null Cons: null more

Excellent Experience 12/16/2010

I got an estimate from a car shop on Fayetteville Rd, near Wake Tech for $310. To be fair to this shop, the gentleman who waited on me suggested I go to a muffler shop to get the exhaust work done. I looked up "muffler Raleigh" on google and the first name to appear was Bob's Muffler Shop. They got me in the same day and I walked out of there 30 minutes later paying $87.66 for the same repair. They are very friendly and want to please the customer. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs muffler work done. more

Honest, Cheap, and Fast 10/1/2010

I came here on a recommendation from a family member. My car was suddenly very loud and I assumed it was the muffler. I took it to two muffler shops and was told I needed a new muffler assembly for $450 and $250. I then tried Bob's muffler on the recommendation, and within two minutes of looking at my car they said that the pipe connecting to my muffler was broken, and they would fix it for 50 bucks. I was back on the road with a fixed car 25 minutes later. I would highly recommend this place more

Great prices, fast service - was highly recommended 5/8/2008

Wow! This shop was recommended by Fast Lube Plus in Cary when my '94 Camry failed inspection because of a leak around the flex pipe and catalytic converter. Bob's quote was over 40% less than a major muffler chain quoted. Although it was further away, it was worth every minute and mile. They were courteous and completed the work so fast I was barely able to read the N&O sports page. I passed inspection and thanked the guys at Fast Lube. I will definitely be recommending Bob's to everyone. It's refreshing to find a place that still does things right. Pros: Pricing, timeliness, customer service, quality of work Cons: None more

Great service and prices 4/27/2008

I recommend this shop to everybody, The guys in the shop are so helpful and honest. I was told by another shop that I needed work done to my car that was estimated at 400.00 more than was needed. I did'nt need to replace the whole exhaust as I was told at another shop but only the parts that were bad. I saved 175.00 $ . It is so nice to find a place that you can trust what they tell you. I also read on some reviews that there is no air cond. and waiting room but they do have an air conditioned waiting room. Pros: great service Cons: none more

Best Muffler Shop 2/11/2008

This was the best place I have taken my car. They were so freindly and very honest. I thought I needed a muffler because a mechanic told I did and they were honest enought to tell me I didn't! Being a woman that meant alot! When I went they had a waiting room with heat and I will recomened them to everyone! Thanks!! Pros: Honest Cons: None more

Excellent Work, Great Prices & Friendly 9/20/2007

This shop is the best auto shop I have ever been to. Being a woman you feel like you may be taken advantage of sometimes by not knowing what parts are needed to be replaced. These guys are so honest they showed me the problem before they fixed it. They also saved me hundreds of dollars for the entire exhaust to be done compared to another estimate from another shop. I highly recommend this shop. more

cheap does not mean good 9/10/2007

If Bob's Muffler did a "cheap" job replacing your car's muffler, that does not mean that the job was well done. You might want to look under your car and see for yourself. They fitted our vehicle with a universal muffler that was such a poor match that they had to gob it up with a bunch of metal. Would not recommend if you want a decent, professional job. more

Best muffler shop in Raleigh 8/9/2007

The guys at Bob's were very easy to deal with. I didn't need an appointment, they started working on my truck as soon as I got there, and they did a great job with removing my old muffler and installing 40 series flowmasters on my 2004 chevy silverado z71. Not only is Bob's fast and friendly, it also offers cheap prices but still does high quality work. Once the installation was done (about an hour), I paid and they told me if there was any problem at all with the muffler come back and see them and they would fix it no charge. I would reccommend Bobs to anyone in Raleigh or surrounding areas who want great service and great work at a great price Pros: Quick,Easy,Cheap,Friendly, knowledgable Cons: none more

Best Muffler shop I have ever experienced 5/3/2007

I had a '89 Toyota Camry's muffler replaced there, parts $25, labor $25, plus tax, total is $57-. They did within 30mins. I believe this is the cheapest price that you can find within 10miles. Pros: cheap, fast, friendly Cons: no a/c more

incredibly fast, cheapest prices! 6/8/2006

Bob's had not only the cheapest price in Wake County for a catalytic converter for my Honda Civic, but they could take me right away, and I was there, done, and back to work in less than an hour (I work downtown)... I very much recommend these guys and fully intend to use them in the future! (and ps ladies - there are some nice looking guys working there, too! haha!) Pros: quick, cheap Cons: no a/c more

Great Place Quality and Value 6/1/2006

After a bad experience elsewhere I went here. He did a better job and for less money than the other place had offered. I had the chrome tips on my Mustang replaced. He asked me if everything looked good before he welded and took his time to make sure everything was level and aligned properly. The old tips were slightly longer than the tips he had in stock. Before I said anything he looked at me and asked if I would like them to come out farther like the other ones did. He took the time to create a custom extention for the pipes to create the look I wanted and didn't charge me anything extra. Great Group of Guys and Great quality work. These are the best guys around in town to get your muffler fixed for dirt cheap. They charge under $100 for a job that you would regularly pay over $200 for. There service is unbeatable along with their customer service and prices. more

Best muffler shop around 11/28/2005

These guys simply do the best job on mufflers for the least amount of money. 50 dollars will get you a new muffler while other places charge close to 200. They are very accomodating and will help you any way possible. Nicest guys, best price, best service always equals best business. more

Excellent Exhaust Work and Customer Service 7/13/2005

The guys here show great skill when installing customized exhaust. They appeared to be a busy little shop so I recommend making an appointment to cut down on wait time. They installed a Flowmaster on my friends Chevy Colorado 4x4. Due to the size of the spare tire the pipes had to be bent and shaped several different ways. The guy doing the work was awesome eventhough the job appeared difficultand left him drenched with sweat. Needless to say, the truck sounds awesome thanks to his exceptional work. The prices were reasonable and noticeably cheaper than some of the more highly recommended shops. I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle here for good quality work.
