Good ice cream places seem to be well hidden in the area or they do not exist at all outside the chains. This one would not be included on my list of good ice cream places. There was an odd smell to the place, the service was slow, there did not seem to be all that many flavors that looked appealing, and the price was still pretty premium. I would not seek this ice cream shop out again and I would not consider it "famous" so that I would recommend it. more

great ice cream 9/7/2005

i really like bobs famous ice cream but their deli is not as good. they have wonderful ice cream and my favorite is the coffee flavored ice cream. i will definately be going back alot... also it is located right near the bike trail in the heart of downtown bethesda. more

they have very good icecream, i was even able to make room for it after a huge dinner, of course, it is over price at three dollars a scoop, but what isnt now a days, anyway, i asked my server if they made the ice cream as there 'homemade' ice cream sign says, well of course they dont, but its good anyway more
