Bobby's Restaurant and Lounge

Just wanted to let you know that while visiting in Phoenix from Indiana on the 14th of July, I was at this establishment for the evening. What a wonderful experience, great food, fantastic atmosphere, and exceptional class this place is ! The band added to the great atmosphere, a wonderful relaxing addition to the top notch quality of the service and the food. My next trip to Phoenix should include another evening at this Restaurant and Lounge ! I recommend this place to anyone visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. more

This is my ""celebration"" dinner go-to. Always exceptional food, service, and love chatting with the GM. You must try the bruschetta! Save up if you plan on drinking alcohol though, this place does not run cheap! more

Bobby's Jazz AWESOME!!!\r \r I love to impress my family and friends as it relates to socializing. This amazing beautiful resturant was truly an excellent choice on my behalf. I've been living in Phoenix, AZ for a year and wanted celebrate my favorite aunt 62nd Birthday and this was the way to celebrate.\r \r We were a party of 6 and the wait staff Tim was very friendly and timely with superb service and excellent customer service. We all had the 4 course special. The food selections were amazing and appealing presentation for each course was excpectional. The entertainment was the gravy on TOP!!! It was a mixture of Jazz and Blues from the early 70's and the Saxophone player was the best to set the amtosphere for our dinner. We were all singing along at times while endulging in good old conversation. Rather you live here or on vacation this place is a must..... decorative are just supberb. more

I'll admit I don't get out to the nicer joints much anymore but I know a fine restaurant when I dine at one. I was introduced to Bobby's by a friend/customer who loves to entertain and always wants to gather at nice places. I was not disapointed. We like to play with the servers and quiz them about special requests and just have fun with them. They were all really good natured and everyone seemed to enjoy working there. The lobster ravioli was terrific. Live music always seems to make the meal better so that was a nice treat too. I can't wait to bring a date next time since you can't help but to have a nice time there. more

It is a really nice restaurant to go to. Nice atmosphere, enjoyable music, excellent food, and the service is a plus. :) more

There are a lot of things I look for when I want a good dining experience. Atmosphere, aesthetics, quality service, and of course the quality of the food. I can say without a doubt that Bobby's is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was their number one customer. I was seated promptly and served almost instantly. The food was amazing, the music was soothing, the service was outstanding- what more can I say, very impressed!! more

This is where you don't have to hesitate when you want FOOD that gives you the OMG! reaction. I'm picky on service - the server was 'there' before I even spoke my thoughts! (Mind reading Waiters?) \r \r SERVICE is Everything!! but add EXCEPTIONAL FOOD and you GOT me!\r \r Wait! Now you throw in some GREAT MUSIC?!! I first tried this restaurant 6 weeks ago and have now been 3 times already! They have delicious food, the ambiance is beautiful, and the music is really good. The first time I went I saw a band play upstairs and really enjoyed them. Last night they had a pianist who was awesome. The host at the front is so friendly and talkative has chatted us up every time. This place has an upscale, trendy atmosphere with modern and contemporary decor. I have even been able to bring my 17 month old daughter each time. It doesn't seem like the type of place that you would want to bring children but they were completely accommodating. However, my daughter is extremely well behaved and I wouldn't Recommend Bringing kids/toddlers unless they are really well behaved. I love this place! more

This place is perfect for a date or any kind of night out! I absolutely love the atmosphere. I love that it has an upstairs, it is beautiful. The food is amazing. I love to try different entrees every time I go because so far I have loved them all! One of my friends is even having her wedding reception at Bobby's this summer. It will be the perfect place! My family visits Phoenix 3 times a year and everytime we do we make sure to stop in Bobbys atleast once. We love the food, it has a taste and style i havent experienced anywhere else! The music makes the evening more fun and exciting! I love the decor in the restaurant, sort of a Las Vegas feel. And the waiters are always kind, patient and consistent! I love this place! People who know quality will appreciate this restaurant. The flavors and seasonings in the food make you ask for more. I have been to the finest restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale and I can tell you that the food here is memorable. I can always tell when I've had a good meal because I will remember the taste and crave it until I go back. That is what the food at Bobby's is like. The excellent food would be enough, but the atmosphere is truly beautiful and the service was equally top notch. The entertainment is fun and enjoyable. The prices at Bobby's are competitive with other restaurants of this quality. I would highly recommend this dining experience. Our server was very friendy and helpful in explaining the specials and reviewing the menu. This was our first time dining here as we were out to celebrate a birthday and wanted to hear some jazz. I am willing to spend some money for a superb meal, however, Bobby's did not meet my expectations. Actually, disapointing considering I spent $150.00. I will not be returning to Bobby's, nor would I recommend as a place to dine. The ""jazz"" music was anything but jazz and sounded like karaoke. No offense to the performers, but Bobby's touts jazz, but you couldn't tell.\r \r I guess I am looking for that ""wow ""experience when spending my hard earned money on a dinner, which I like to do from time to time. I worked in several fine dinning restaurants through college and know what the experience is supposed to be for a customer. Bobby's missed the mark with me. One of the best meals and time i have had in the phoenix area. Had the fresh halibut was cooked perfect my date had the filet very tender and the Bearnaise sauce was great. Great wine list, after dinner went up to the lounge for after dinner drinks and listen to the entertainment very good.\r Service was very attentive. more

I took some clients out to dinner this evening and had a very good time. The decor is quite modern but not offensive. very tasteful sculptures, high ceilings, great Dylan, Marley, and Bobby Derrin posters. We started with the Bruchetta which was some of the best i've ever had. it was't overpowered with garlic or other seasonings. it had a very smooth olive oil which gave it a nice balance with the fresh toasted bread drizzled with balsamic vinegar. next were the stuffed mushrooms which were also perfectly done. again, not to much seasoning so you could actually taste the flavors you were meant to. i had the wedge salad which was just as i expected. no bacon, but it came with artichoke, olives, and chopped tomato on the side. not your traditional ""steak house"" wedge but still very good. For dinner i had the halibut which was fantasic. Perfectly grilled giving it a light crunch and served over a bed of sauteed spinach with cooked tomatoes on top. it was very tasty. other entrees in our party included the veal chops, ny strip, and scallops. although i didn't taste any of the other dishes, everyone in my party had great things to say. another good thing was the wine list. not only did they have a nice selection, but they also served by the glass which was nice to have seeing as though none of us could decide on the same bottle. the whole time we ate there was a live mucician that was playing acoustic tunes for all generations. everything from the eagles to bob dylan to jack johnson to cat stevens to santana. very well done. although the music was a nice touch, it did make the restaurant a little on the loud side but nothing obtrusive. The prices aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for--good quality food. I'm so tired of overpaying for lousy food--not the case here. worth every penny,. the service was also excellent. our water glasses were never empty and we never had a stack of plates left in front of us. i'm suprised it wasn't more crowded Pros: expensive but worth it, nice ambiance, live music Cons: could be considreed loud for some more
