There were 5 of us looking for a place to hang out. Two of my friends were 20. We called Bobby McGee?s and asked if the nightclub was 18 and over. When we were assured by a girl named BETH we would have no problem, we made a reservation to eat in the restaurant and would proceed to the nightclub at 9pm.
We ordered an appetizer to share and hardly touch it due to its unpleasant taste. We chose not to complain about the food because we figured it would be pointless to complain when we knew we were going to be spending the rest of our night in the nightclub. However, we did complain about the lack of air conditioning several times without any luck. All the people in our party were very uncomfortable due to the heat.
When we made our way to the nightclub, the man who checked our IDs told us he was security. He was very polite to us when our two 20 year old party members were escorted out. It was the MANAGER who was completely disrespectful. He spoke down to us and was rude.
When we told the manager we had spoken to a woman named Beth who told us over the phone that the nightclub was 18 and over, he told us no one named Beth worked there. After several minutes of conversation between our party and the manager, he told us he would go in the back and speak with Beth about the phone call in question. So which is it? Is there or isn?t there a BETH!? I spoke with her on the phone so I know she exists.
The security man was polite and sympathetic to our situation. He even offered us a free meal if we came back on a night that the club was in fact 18 and over. Having said that, how can we be called liars if there are nights when the club is 18 and over? Perhaps Beth misunderstood us on the phone and gave us information regarding one of those other nights. If that is so, why weren?t we just told that? Why were WE lied to about Beth?s existence?
I do not under any circumstances suggest going to this establishment. Go to Claim Jumper next door.
Pros: Security was nice
Cons: Everything!
