Bob Sullens Westside Renovations

This guy should not be allowed to have a license. We hired him last year to renovate our bathroom. He called the Sunday before the Monday he was to start to say he'd be a day late. Not a good start to begin with. We gave him a cash deposit of 1600 to gut renovate our bathroom. I was 9 months pregnant at the time and my husband and I could not stress enough that our main priority in this process was that he not leave me without a toilet. We only have one bathroom. The day the gutting started I left for the day to pick up materials so I would not have to be around all the dust and mayhem. My husband reminded him throughout the day about the toilet. At five, he tells my husband that he does not have the right part and that he will have to leave us overnight sans toilet. So, that night I had the pleasure of peeing in the woods every fifteen minutes and having to leave the windows in the house open all night because he used toxic gaseous glue to put the sub floor down. We had also stressed that he use as green materials as he could. Nails would have been just as efficient as that nasty, toxic smelling glue. The next morning he shows up 2 hours late, my husband was already gone for work, and demands more money for the same job. I get upset and decide to go for a walk to calm down and when I come home he's gone. He has unresolved complaints against him with the Better Bus. Bureau. He totally misled us, ripped us off and did a terrible job. He did install the toilet (a day late) but the people I got to replace him had to redo it. He owes us 900 of that 1600 deposit and refuses to pay us. Not to mention the difference of what we were to pay him and what we paid someone else to finish the job. DO NOT HIRE THIS CLOWN. My husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen and dining room as well as add a new deck. Bob Sullen and his crew were amazing. They always cleaned up after themselves, they were professional, polite and finished their work in a timely manner. The craftmanship was amazing, they put down new floors, installed the plumbing, did all the electrical work. There is nothing they cannot do. What was so amazing is that we really didn't have to contract out any work to anyone else. They took care of the building inspection aspect as well. Don't let the low quote fool you, the work is high quality and I would recommend them to anyone who wants good work done for the least amount of money. Pros: Honest, reliable, professional, great craftmanship Cons: Nothing to say here except it is stressful having people in your house everyday hammering. more
