I've been working with Josue Vargue at Boardwalk Properties for the past few months as I prepared my move from LA to Boston. Being from the beach I wasn't sure what I was getting into and had a limited knowledge of the distinct locales of Boston. My friends urged me to go with a broker although being from LA I wasn't sure what the value add would be since I was only renting. My first day in Boston, Josue pretty much gave me a walking tour of the city and showed me about 15 different apartments - all very good quality places as well as gave me a sampler of what I could get for my money in the Brighton, Allston, and Mission Hill. Josue not only knew the properties but his follow up was excellent and his enthusiasm for the city and for finding the right place for me was contagious. The fees were standard but well worth it. I don't think I could pick a place in Boston without Josue at Boardwalk. Pros: Great Agent Experience Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Hi guys! I just wanted to drop a quick note about my experience with Boardwalk Properties and Brooke, one of their agents. I found Brooke on www.bostonpetapartments/com because I have two cats and I had already been rejected at two different apartments due to my cats. I knew I had chosen a good company when I called her and she informed me that although they have 100s of agents, they had all been very busy as of late. She said the database shows tons of pet friendly apartments all throughout Boston and the Suburbs. Brooke said she would look in her database and give me a call back within 30 minutes to go over all the cat friendly places she could find. To my pleasant surprise, Brooke called us less than 10 minutes later and our interaction was very pleasant from the get go. Brooke told me not to fret, she had plenty of properties in my price range, and she?d do her best to match me and my cats with a lenient landlord. We looked at many properties the next day and fell absolutely in love with one. Brooke sent us on a landlord interview and came along with us. After we chatted with the landlord for a few minutes, and she (landlord) seemed to like us a lot. We all agreed to terms and I am very happy. Thank you Brooke and Boardwalk Properties for making a website that makes it easy to figure out how to find pet friendly properties. Pros: Friendly staff!!! more
