Bluefin Sushi Thai Grill

This restaurant is off the beaten path, but do you really want the usual sushi bar? The restaurant is clean, the service is great and most importantly the food is excellent. We've tried a whole lot of their food and have nothing but good things to say! more

My husband and I have been searching for a good sushi place since we moved to West Palm three years ago. We try a new one at least every week or every other week. Do the math and you can see how many that adds up to! Been everywhere from Ft. Pierce to Miami and have only found moderately good food and service at best. So, when I saw a livingsocial deal for Blue Fin in Parkland, I bought it but didn't expect much. I am so pleased to say that I was wrong! This place is a gem. When I walked in, the owner greeted me (with a bow and a handshake) at the front door. Seating was anywhere I pleased. The restaurant was quaint, clean and well laid out. I sat at the sushi bar because I like to see the chefs prepare the sushi. I saw many different dishes going out of the sushi bar and the kitchen. They all were artful and looked and smelled amazing. I could tell pretty quickly that this was a favorite restaurant of the locals (good sign) as people came in the door and waved and spoke to each other often. Many of the locals spoke to me as well and two sweet women asked if I wanted to join them to eat! I was waiting on my husband, so I politely declined. But how often does that happen in S. FL?! The chef who served us was named Randy and I liked that you ordered straight from the sushi chefs themselves. My husband and I had some special requests and Randy was actually happy to accommodate us. He also served us a lovely tuna appetizer at no charge! As for the rolls, we tried the spicy tuna, spicy krab, spicy scallop, dragon and jb rolls. All were absolutely delicious. The tempura crunch that we asked to have sprinkled over our spicy tuna was the lightest, crispiest and tastiest I have ever had. The seafood was all fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked and everything was presented artfully too. Our server, Eddie, who got our drinks and anything else we needed from the kitchen, was warm, personable and engaging. The prices were reasonable and if anything, less expensive than other sushi places we have eaten at. This was simply the best dining experience I have had in a long time and my husband agreed. Bluefin is about 45 minutes south of where we live in West Palm but there is no denying that when we are in the mood for sushi, this is the place we will be coming back to. more

A truly hidden spot, so be sure to know where your going and go to the end of the parking lot to find this treasure!!! \r \r I was amazed to find "Hamachi Kama" on the menu. The fish was cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce that was so delicate and out of this world. The "Spicy Scallops Salad" had an abundance of flavors and texture. \r \r The manager came to each table, introduced himself, answered any questions and was super friendly. A true hidden gem and I do mean hidden. \r \r After reading in the Sun-Sentinal that this joint had the best sushi around I been dying to try this place since it's in my box. The restaurant is located in some shoppes in the heart of the City of Parkland. It's literally in the middle of no where. That aside the place is laid out nicely, very clean, and in almost oasis like setting. \r \r The service was top notch all the way. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Probably one of the best places for service that I have seen in a long time. Good job to the staff. \r \r The food was pretty damn good. I had a lunch box special, not sure the exact name (see pic).First I had miso soup and a salad. The soup tasted standard, but the salad was pretty good, It's your basic iceberg with the carrots. The ginger dressing set it apart. It was real chunky and not to watery. Plus it was real cold and I like that. As for the sushi it was very tasty. Inside the box/plate was the following: Not sure of all the fish but there was tuna, white tuna, another white fish all sashsimi style. 3 pieces of tuna sushi. A conch, octopus, cucumber vinegar kimchi based salad, 4 pieces of a California Roll and one piece I think of a dragon roll. As I said, everything was very tasty and fresh. \r \r Best sushi in Miami, Palm Beach and Broward??????? not sure about that one. Best service, they could be in the running that for sure. In all fairness I have only been there once so who knows the place may grow on me because it was very good. One thing is for sure it's definitely worth a try. I have nothing good to say about this place the manager is a scumbag who hits on underage girls and is racist I ate here one day and heard a mouthfull I think his name was David but never again and neither will alot of others more

We eat there every Wednesday with the kids and almost every Saturday as a date night.The atmosphere is conducive for either. The Sushi and Sashimi are as fresh as you can find in Florida, maybe anywhere. The cooked dishes are awesome...Lobster Bomb, Volcano Chicken, Pad Thai are all incredible. If your a vegetarian like my daughter you will find some awesome dishes...try the vegetable fried rice...we do every night! I'm a Masaman curry chicken guy. Cooked fresh everyday, simmered with sweet yams and a touch of spice...absolutely the best!!!\r Try it you'll love it!!! more

Yum yum yummy! We always get the sushi boats. Very fresh fish. Excellent service. Fried bananas are a nice finish. Relaxing environment, not to noisy and not to quiet....just right! more

We eat here quite often and always enjoy our meal. The sushi is of high quality and is nicely prepared and presented. The staff is very friendly and the decor is nice. They do have a childrens menu and wide range of beer, wine, and sake. more

You're looking at around 17 dollars for an entree that's the size of a baseball, but its well worth it. Service is great. more

We have been to Bluefin several times. Each time the food was consistently very good, the service was attentive, the surroundings pleasant. One of the best things about it is its extensive menu - it is virtually impossible not to find items on it that will work for each person in the party, even those who aren't sushi fans. more
