Blue Water Spa

This was my first experience waxing so I was a bit nervous. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease with the staff who were very kind and listened to what I wanted done. I ended up getting something in between a bikini wax and a brazilian bikini wax..and it was a fantastic experience! It hardly hurt and I hardly had any redness afterwords. I will definitely go back! more

I had a very relaxing massage at Blue Water Spa a Birthday treat from my daughter. Summer was the masseuse and she did a great job. I have had massages before but I loved how she went from head to toe - was totally relaxing. The place is very nice inside. They have you lie on a warm heated pad. Nice aroma and soft music . I also had a foot scrub and hand scrub which left my hands and feet so soft. I would definitely recommend the place. more

I went to this spa for a brazilian wax. This wasn't my first brazilian waxing, but I had chosen to try this spa after reading all the reviews. I was very pleased with my visit, their staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I used to go to my local nail salon but my waxing, which charged $30 a visit, so the higher price of $65 for a full brazilian at Blue Water Spa is a bit of a change. However, I will definitely be booking all my brazilian waxes here from now on. more

I needed a facial and thought I would try one close to home, instead of one of the big name spa's and what a surprise! I had the best facial I have ever had in the US. The bed was angled and heated so I didn't end up with a back ache. Mary cleansed, exfoliated and moisturized my face until it looked like new skin. She also treated my hands and feet. I was so comfortable I didn't want the hour to end. When I did, my face was glowing! Can't wait to go back. more

My daughter surprised me for my big b-day. She picked me up and drove east. We parked in a parking lot and then we walked up the stairs. And there we were - in Blue Water Spa. The ambience was low - key tranquility. We each had a facial and a massage. The attention to detail was impeccable. We came away relaxed and feeling very pampered. It was exactly what I needed on this very big b-day. Thank you, Blue Water, for the attention, for the coconut oil, and for all the little extras that added up. I was very please with my visit at The Blue Water Spa. They are so friendly and attentive and really take care of you! I am originally from Brazil where this method was invented and I know a thing or two about waxing. I can see why this spa was voted "Best Day Spa" by Long Island Press in 2011. From the moment I walked in, the tranquil atmosphere and super friendly staff made me instantly feel relaxed. I had an amazing prenatal massage done by Judy, who is a true master of her craft. Judy eased away all of the aches and pains associated with pregnancy (I'm in my ninth month so there are many) and I left there feeling like melted butter. I can't wait to go back! more

I had my first wax done at Blue Water Spa, and it was not what I expected. I thought that it was going to be really uncomfortable, and I was extremely nervous. As soon as I walked in and talked to Rachel (the owner and esthetician) my nerves were at ease. She made me feel completely comfortable and explained everything she was doing. Love this spa! I have been reluctant to get facials, since I have super-sensitive skin (think freckles and sunscreen required, but no pimples), but since I got pregnant, my skin has been breaking out and looking a little gloomy, so I figured I would give it a try. I am so glad I chose this place. Rachael sat down with me before the facial to discuss my concerns. The facial itself was wonderfully indulgent. I loved the facial massage, and was pleasantly surprised that along with the facial I received a hand a foot massage. Rachael also sent me home with some sample products. When I got home, even though I was a little red still, my husband immediately said he could see a difference, a clarity, and the next day all irritation was gone. I can't wait to go back for a pre-natal massage! more

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my facial. I was given a gift certificate from my siblings for my birthday, and couldn't have been more happy with this gift !! I had the Signature Facial by Rachel, the owner of the Spa: face cleansing, neck and shoulders worked on, hands ended up in warm mitts and reflexology on my feet...had to get this one. Also, I wasn't sure what to get as my first visit. Let's put it this way, when I was all done, I booked my next facial for the following month, which I never do, and I have been to a lot of spas. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a very normal skin care routine. I used everyday products, in an everyday fashion, with very everyday results. My skin was always just normal (not bad, but not great) and I accepted it always would be. Now, after becoming a regular client at Blue Water Spa in Oyster Bay, NY, and for the first time in 34 years, I can say I am thrilled with my skin’s much-better-than-normal appearance. Spa owner and esthetician Rachel has been more than dedicated to helping me achieve the best-looking skin possible. From our first meeting, she was friendly, considerate, knowledgeable, helpful and very, very honest. I had been getting small bumps on my face for about a year; she told me that the products I was using weren’t strong enough to deal with my rigorous workout routines. Years of neglect (who knew?) had caused all this buildup under my skin, and she was determined to fix it. I began to follow her instructions and after five or six visits, had brand new, super smooth and super healthy-looking skin! I was definitely hesitant to try a new routine (I’m a little stubborn about my products), but Rachel was so reassuring and trustworthy. On her advice, I began using a new daily cleanser and made three major changes: I have a monthly facial, use an active serum at night, and get microderm abrasion when I can. Now I can’t believe I didn’t seek professional skincare advice sooner! I’ve been to many spas over the years, from glitzy, big-name Manhattan spas to no-frills neighborhood spas, yet there has never been one place I want to go back to time and again. I can say with confidence that the staff and service at Blue Water make it the best day spa on Long Island, and I am so thankful I found it. I've had terrible, acneic skin for most of my life, and thought I was a "hopeless case" when I came here for my first facial. Lynn, one of the estheticians, not only reassured me and helped explain what I'd been doing wrong, she had my skin almost completely turned around in about a month! Every treatment I've had has been relaxing, and I've seen the results almost immediately. The atmosphere here is also fantastic - very private, very pretty - and you feel like you're their most important client every time you go in. I would absolutely, unequivocally recommend this spa to anyone! more

Everyone was so friendly and I was treated as though I had been coming for months instead of for the the first time. The Swedish massage was so relaxing I almost fell asleep and I'm looking forward to trying the facial on my next visit. more

After seeing the Purigenex collagen mask demo on "The Doctors" on TV, I wanted to try it. I found Blue Water Spa in Oyster Bay and I am so very glad. I must have passed by this location on my way from Oyster Bay to Bayville and never notice the sign outside. It is hidden in one of the old Victorian buildings that make Oyster Bay so charming. This is truly a gorgeous spa with elegant decor. I was introduced to the whole staff that day because they were just finishing up a meeting, they were so professional and knowledgeable that I knew at once that I was putting my face in the right hands. I took advantage of one of their spring special offers and not only got the Purigenex mask but also an oxygen facial at a special combo price. I am so pleased with this treatment and the collagen mask was quite amazing. I could see the results immediately. I can't wait to see what my skin will look like after my next treatment. I went to Blue Water Spa after receiving a gift certificate to spa finder. I am so happy with my decision to go to Blue Water Spa. First of all the friendly service really set the pace for the entire experience, the robe and socks were some of the softest things to ever touch my body, that alone will bring me back. The foot rub at the end sealed the deal. I will be back, and highly recommended it! more
