History and fine dining 1/11/2010

This historic edifice is now an addition to the fine dining experience in the Hudson Valley. Owners Dick & Trevor have created a wonderful eatery made special by the outstanding cuisine prepared by skilled chefs. Richard and Trevor are always present to greet diners and make suggestions from the menu. Service was prompt and courteous. In addition to the dining experience, various musical performers present sets from the bar area which can be from the jazz, country, and Karaoke scenes. A most pleasant experience and worth many happy returns. Pros: Ambiance & staff congeniality more

A remodel is in order for some of the food and waitstaff ... 10/8/2009

I have been to this restaurant several times recently and the food misses the mark.Food presentation is excellent but is overshadowed by rude, untrained staff. Entrees seem to have a pattern of heavy on the oil and salt and lack originality in their taste. Owner needs more honest feedback so he can make some sorely needed changes . Like to keep coming, but there are better restaurants in the area, for the price. This establishment is rough around the edges, but with some work ... this could be an awesome restaurant! After reading your post I find it strange that you can comment on this restaurant so negatively when the restaurant opened AFTER your post was dated. The new owners have not only given many local residents employment, they have given the community a very special place where they can relax, dine and escape this very troubled world in which we live. I strongly suggest you find a hobby or maybe get a job and stay off the computer where you are actually making a fool out of yourself. Peace. more

New local hotspot! 5/24/2009

The restaurant recently reopened under new ownership, and the new look of the various dining rooms and bar is almost comparable to the wonderful dining experience this place provides for patrons. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is excellent (awesome desserts, too!). A must-try whether you are a local or just in town for the weekend! Pros: Great service, great food Cons: A bit of a drive for non-locals, but worth it more
