My wife and I were vacationing in Breckenridge with a couple of good friends from our college years in Breckenridge during the first week of April (2008). We have visited Breckenridge about a half dozen times and though the Blue River Bistro had been highly recommended to us, we never tried it until jsut recently. \r
I must admit, we were NOT disappointed. Being that it was a Wednesday night, we didn't think it would be nearly as crowded as it was, thus there was about a 25 minute wait before we were seated. \r
\r
However, it was well worth the wait. The salads were fresh, crisp, and the greens tasted as though they'd been picked right out of a garden (Even though that would have been impossible considering the amount of snow on the ground. .ha ha. ha), The wine was excellent, and so were the entrees. In fact, the New York Strip was ""to die for."" The service was a bit ""rushed"", but still very friendly and efficient, esp. considering how busy they were. The lady who was playing the piano was really good, and added greatly to the ambience of the place. Overall, it was an extremely enjoyable evening, and I regret not coming here sooner than we did. We;ll definitely be back the next time we visit Breckenridge. Keep up the great worrk, Blue River Bistro!!!
Pros: Great food, ambience/entertainment,
