Tasty Barbecue 5/21/2006

The food is really good here, so why don't I love it? Barbecue is more than the food, and this joint is short on fun. The premises are small, and there are a very few counter seats, but mostly you are going to order, get your sack of tasty ribs, and go. Still, the food is authentic, the usual sides are available in plenty, and if your wallet is ready (not cheap), you can make your own fun at home. more

Best BBQ in Boston 5/5/2006

While I prefer baby back ribs to pork ribs, you can't beat Blue Ribbon for most BBQ food.I love their pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and burnt ends. Get a Feedbag and you will have plenty for leftovers for the next day. You won't be dissapointed. more

Great value, Tasty BBQ 3/19/2006

I know everybody loves this place, but I just don't love it. Delicious corn bread, collard greens, squash, and other sides. The meats have a tendency to be a bit watery, but they are pretty good. Soemtimes parking is a bit of a pain, and the place can get extremely crowded. It's best for takeout since there isn't much seating, and what seating there exists is mostly counter style. The portions are very generous,so you can count on leftovers for lunch the next day. It's pretty quick, so it's good for takeout or for a quick bite (like before the movies). The prices are very reasonable. more

Nothing wrong here... 2/12/2006

This place never disappoints! It has barbecue that is the closest to Texas one can get. Brisket is the best. Excellent quality, decent prices, great customer service, healthy portions with great sides and desserts. Very friendly staff that often knows patrons by name and remembers how they like their barbecue served. Recommend highly! Try it and I am sure you will keep going back for more. more

best bbq around 1/12/2006

Great BBQ and great sides. Location is right off of the Mass Pike so it's actually pretty easy to get to from Boston. Only drawback is that this location in West Newton is tiny, so get there by 11:55 to get a seat for lunch. Perfect choice for catering parties though -- guests really notice it. Don't know anything about the Arlington location. more
