We scheduled an appointment to have our pool pump fixed. No one came at the scheduled time and no one called. After waiting over an hour, I called and was told by the receptionist that she'd call the crew and get back to me. I waited almost two hours. No one called. So, I finally called and was told that there was a scheduling error and that they couldn't come until the following Tuesday. I said that was ok and asked if they could schedule our pool closing because I know that that they are booked far in advance. She said they were unable to do that until they assessed the pump. I told her I'd still like to schedule and then if it's a problem, we could reschedule. (The pumps are working fine. There are just a few small leaks around the fittings (easy to get to) they need to be fixed.) She insisted she couldn't do that which seemed kinda crazy to me. Anyway, I was getting a bit irritated by this point and I'll admit that my tone of voice indicated that. I did not yell or curse or say anything demeaning about or to this receptionist and then she just hung up on me after telling me that I was being "ugly" and treating her like "trash". People with low self-concepts don't need to be receptionists especially for pool companies who just don't bother to show up for appointments or to call to reschedule!!!
