On Friday 04MAY07 @ 21:00, our party of three arrived on the recommendation of a local. We were shunted to the bar to await a table; there we ordered nicely cold beer. Quite soon thereafter, we were escorted to the virtually empty dining room.....curious how so many tables suddenly became available. While we were quizzed whether we wanted drinks with ""full"" drinks in front of us; while we visited, enjoyed our drinks and studied the open menus, our waiter repetitively returned wanting our orders. Once we closed our menus, he took the orders and then promptly returned with very cold, fresh attractive salads. One of the diners politely asked the waiter to not ""fire"" the entrees so we could enjoy the salad course; his response was that he would try to slow the process. Minutes later, the main courses arrived before the diners had finished tossing the dressings among the greens; needless to say, the salads were set aside, so the hot main courses could be enjoyed hot. During this, there was significant bustling, cleaning, sweeping and stowing furniture in the dining room. Now, gentle reader, regarding the food, the spinach salad was highly recommended; the two house salads were not special iceberg lettuce with non-descript dressings. The shrimp Chipotle pasta was ""OK"". The pork chop entree, ordered medium, arrived butterflied, both halves more than medium done, dry; but the side green beans were still crisp, good. The flat iron steak, ordered medium rare, was rarer but not so to endanger over-cooking if returned; the asparagus side, good. The garlic mashed potatoes with the meats were very bland. Even though the decorations were cute, the quality of the food product was not up to the image they were trying to project. The seating delay strategy and the service and inattention to the dining pace of the patrons are inconsistent for such a theme restaurant.
