Blue Marlin

The service was good. Kevin did a great job. The food is by far the worst ever. NOT fresh seafood. I absolutely hate people that review restaurants, but now I know why they do it. This place has to be a front for the mob because they aren't trying to make money as a restaurant. You have two choices: fried or broiled. Except on my "grilled salmon salad" which is broiled. That was the first time I've ever sent a dish back in my life. It tasted awful. I didn?t ask for anything else in return. The other reviews are fakes for sure. The was a reason why on a Sunday night at 7:30 there were only three tables taken, one being ours. Do not eat here. The 14-dollar steak looked like a rubber chew toy. Do Not Eat Here. Won't be open in a year unless there are mob ties. Pros: fried mushrooms, plenty of parking, fast seating Cons: The worst restaurant I've ever seen. Gross. more

I eat at this restaurant at least once a week. The fried shimp, fried clams, and clam chowder are my favorites. The buffalo shimp are amazing. If you love fried seafood, you will love this food, as well as the reasonable prices. Amazing lunch prices. Pros: Fried seafood Cons: Service varies more

I read some reviews online. All (3 total) were rave reviews. I am now a firm believer that all 3 had to be "plants". That is, written falsely by "hacks". Now for what I experienced. My wife and I were seated at 7:50pm on a Friday night. Our order was taken shortly thereafter. I ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, rock lobster tail and crab legs as the entre. At 8:45 everything shows up at once at the table. Oysters were room temperature - not on ice, no small fork, no lemon wedges, and my entre arrived as two rock lobster tails. Both cold and hard. Drawn butter was dark and funky tasting. Throughout all this, I overheard our server apologizing to other patrons for various reasons. Simply the worst seafood dining experience I can remember in Years. Stay away! more

When Blue Marlin opened, I went almost once a week. The portions were generous and the salt and pepper catfish was awesome. However, after time went on, the portions became a little smaller and the seasoning was not as good. They are not open on Mondays(why I don't quite understand) and the staff can be more attentive. more

The Blue Marlin in Duluth has excellent seafood. The ''create your own combo'' of broiled shrimp and sea scallops is our favorite. We topped it off today with the key lime pie. Wow, did we leave satisfied. Our server was friendly and obviously interested in our enjoyment of the food. The hushpuppies are unique...shaped like little doughnuts. In any shape they would be delicious! I don't often take the time to review a restaurant, but in this case I want others to enjoy the food as we did! more

Service was great, food was excellent. It was priced right. One doesn't have to spend a fortune to eat great seafood in a nice place. We live in Grayson and don't always feel like driving to Atlanta for a nice seafood place. We've been to several in the city and Blue Marlin is still on top on our list. more
