My dad and I drove from Pittsburgh to Altoona to check out Blue Knob Auto. SO glad we did! NO pressure from the salesman at all.

Worst

Great business model - good products - good prices. Pros: Price - Selection - Quality Cons: Rude - Abusive Employees. Be prepared to exchange yor dignity for savings.

Bought a 2012 dodge ram in 2013 have had nothing but problems with front end wheel bearings brakes rotors tie rods drive shaft 4 wheel drive you name it truck only had 42000 on it SAD more

Saw a 2008 corvette online on their website. Called and ask a salesman about the condition of the corvette, any marks, any repaint, the overall condition. I was told the car was beautiful and in great shape. Then asked to speak to the appraiser. Asked for a ball park figure on my trade because I was driving 3 hours to see the corvette and didn't want to waste my time. I asked again any paint work. Was told not on our high end cars maybe on the ones that where rentals but not our expensive cars. So I wake up early to get there by 11:00 and the car really looks nice. They looked at my trade gave me a fair price. I then asked to see a CarFax report. He said no problem. He says looks good one owner BUT IT SHOWS AN ACCIDENT 5 months ago. But that doesn't really mean much. Well on a corvette that means alot. Thanks for wasting my time and gas money. I WILL NEVER VISIT YOUR CAR LOT AGAIN UNLESS I WANT A CHEAP JUNKER! more

Unprofessional at best 3/30/2011

I was referred to Blue Knob Auto by several of my friends and co-workers when mentioned purchasing a used car. Already knowing how busy this dealership was I came prepared to purchase and hopefully leave the same day. When I arrived I was given to a used car salesperson named Ralph. He sent me on a test drive on the car I was interested in. The test drive was fine and other than an odor inside the car which was explained to me as something to do with cleaning it I had nothing to complain about. When we sat down to discuss the purchase it was obvious that there was other issues here. Instead of processing the purchase and talking about the car Ralph decided I wanted to hear about his problems. I was then told about how the dealership does nothing for him and how he has to purchase his own uniform shirts and license plates out of pocket. I was there to purchase a car and that’s about it. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. He must have sensed my displeasure and became short with me and acted like me being there was an inconvenience. I did not and will not be retuning to Blue Knob to purchase a car. The prices are excellent and the cars seem to be in nice condition however the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism based on this one and only visit is more than enough for me to stay away. Previous and future customers beware, if you are looking for any help from “management” of this dealership don’t count on it. My calls to the manager “Jim” were never returned. I ended up finding another car not far from there and didn’t have any complaining to go with my purchase. more

We purchased a vehicle from them last year and we've been very pleased. The selection is unbeatable. The prices are unbelievable. The service is very good as well. We will definitely return to this business when looking for another vehicle...you can't go wrong w/the no haggle pricing. The only thing we didn't like was their trade in offers, which were very low. But all in all, a thumbs up from us. more
