Blue Fox Farms

The ex-boarder who talked about help changing and no care during the hurricane evacuation is absolutely not telling the truth. Of the four current employees, one has been at the farm for over 5 yrs, another for over 15 years. The boarders were all recommended to evacuate, as the owner did. Those few that chose not to stay (4 out of 60), were all kept with plenty of hay and water. Two different veterinarians, Dr. Kemper and Dr. Robinett both checked on the horses until the roads were cleared and the employees and owner could return. It is a shame that anyone can publish absolute untruths for the public to see. Pros: knowlegable care and great facilities more

I felt strongly enough about the comments that motivated me to write my first review, that I wanted to update our 1 year experience with Teri and Blue Fox. My daughter has never been happier, her riding skills have soared and her self esteem has skyrocketed! Her mare has also vastly improved with Teri and has received nothing but the best of care. If you are serious about proper riding instruction and horse care, this is the place you want to be. Pros: professional owner, great staff, beautiful serene setting Cons: a year later, I still cannot find anything to complain about more

I could not DISAGREE with the previous comments more. I rode with Teri for YEARS when I was younger, which included boarding my horses with her over the years. My horses were always extremely well cared for and I never worried. I showed consistently with her and rode many of her horses as well as other clients. They were ALL well tended to at all times. While she is firm about what she expects of her students I owe everything I know about riding to her and for that I am grateful. I still know her and do business with her to this day and am hurt that someone would speak of her in such a way. more

This is the worst boarding experience I have ever had! I would not recommend these stables to anybody. Teri Bludworth is the owner and she is the main problem. She doesnt care about anybody's horses but her own. She almost seems bothered by her boarders and clients. She is rude, she talks bad about her clients and she has a horrible reputation in the horse industry as a dishonest person. I think you would have a hard time finding someone to give a positive review of Teri. In the few months I boarded there there were at least 10 different stable workers comming in and quitting. Many many boarders left due to being fed up with the lack of care. She left and abandoned some boarders horses during hurricane Ike. The list goes on of the horrible things that took place there. It is a shame because the property itself is beautiful, but the management and care is just aweful. I just want to get the word out to any uninformed individuals out there...
