I found the value to be rather good. My family enjoyed our dinner. The fish; we had blackened and grilled were cooked perfectly. We did not have the crab, they had been out since 6PM, but we were happy with our selections. We will go back again. more

My hubby and I and another couple went there last night and had a very good dinner. Good food and a reasonable price. Highly recommend the gumbo and mushrooms for appetizers. The crab cakes were very good although not the jumbo lump, but then they were not $30 either, $17 I think with sides. Hubby had half dozen blue crabs, devoured them. Our friends had blackened fish and crab pasta. They were very pleased too. Will definitely go back many times. more

This 'Crab Connoisseur' says 'Just Okay' 4/18/2010

Hey now, all you MD connoisseurs don't have the market cornered on crab. Let me present a 'fair and balanced' review, having been raised in Florida but spending over a decade in MD. Yes, Floridians love their blue crab claws, and just because some hotshot from MD 'thinks' they're less desirable, so what! The fact is the claws are likely missing on purpose, as there's a great market for 'JUST' claw meat. Pros: Good Crabs Cons: Poor quality side dishes more

Oh my God! Best I've had! 7/18/2008

I've eaten in a lot of restaurants all over the world and this place is as good as any. It doesn't have the flamboyance of high dollar restaurants but for a really, I mean really, good meal for a decent price..... I've not found any better. Pros: Wonderful dinner. Cons: No live entertainment more

Finest crabhouse in the area. 4/2/2008

I laughed as I read the review by spy5354 claiming this and that about a real crabhouse. First, any crab connoisseur knows that crabs frequently come out of the water missing their claws. Second, any crab connoisseur knows the claw meat is the least desirable meat and many of us don't bother with the claws. Third, he/she was SO dissappointed in the crabs he/she ordered another dozen after the first. Go figure. Pros: Best crabs, just like home Cons: Not open enough hours. more

Great crab shack. 1/30/2008

Our neighbors told us about this place and said to try the mushroom appetizer. We were 4 adults and we got an order of the crab stuffed mushrooms and shrimp cocktail. The mushrooms were so good we ordered more. Pros: Food and service was great Cons: Closed at 10 pm. more

This is our favorite place to eat whenever we are in the Jacksonville area. Very casual and comfortable with the best blue crabs and crablegs (snow, dungeness, and king). They have a crabmeat stuffed mushrooms appetizer that is out of this world, best by far of any I've ever had. Good service and kids love it because they can write on the walls. Expect a wait list on weekend nights at busy times. They also have outdoor dining on a covered deck. Pros: Value and freshness of seafood Cons: Only open for lunch on Sunday more

A great little restaurant! 1/19/2005

A real Mom and Pop place where the people are so friendly and the seafood is all fresh. It's a bit hard to find but well worth it. It's Maryland style crabs with brown paper table cloths and plenty of local favorite dishes too. The dinners are priced between $10 and $20 for a great value. Pros: Food, value, people more
