I just crave the taste of those burgers and fries. This is my new favorite spot. I hate the location, it is tough to get to, but it is well worth the trouble. They make everything from scratch and the burgers are the best in LO. Giant burger watch out, there's a new coyote in town. I hope they make it in a spot that has seen many a restaurant go away. Stopped by after catching a movie at the Lake. I heard this place was good so we thought we would give it a chance. I am glad we did. I enjoyed my burger but I especially enjoyed the bun. It was soft and chewy, just the way I like them. I had the small one which is not very small. One of my friends had the middle size and he loved it, just couldn't finish it. Pros: Fresh Buns!! I heard about this place from friends at work. They were all a buzz with the Blue Coyote. Blue Coyote this and Blue Coyote that. Bugers, Fries and Shakes were the most popular conversation. I had to find out for my self I love Hamburgers and I have had some good ones but what I had at the Blue Coyote could only be described as GREAT! I ordered the Julane Burger, 1/3 pound size (which was plenty big) and a chocolate shake. When the shake arrived before the burger, I was assured that there would be plenty of shake to enjoy both before and during the meal. He was right. It was rich and creamy and filled my glass at least twice. Then here came the burger, standing majesticly on the plate with a knife stabbed through the top to hold it all togther. The first bite I was lost and in heaven at the same time. The bun was so chewey and a little spicy, the bacon, pepper chees and guacamole all went together well. I have never had anything this good. On to the fresh cut fries as they are described. Fresh they were, it was as if they cut the potato right at the table. I do not know what type of seasoning they use, but I want to buy some and bring it home. The fries were as good, no, as great as the burger. If you love burgers then you will love the Blue Coyote!!! When in Lake Oswego...the Blue Coyote Cafe is a must!! Best burgers, fries, and drinks too! Seating is a bit challenging on a busy night (we were there on a friday around 6:45pm) but they also offer take out. The menu has a nice variety of burgers, sandwiches, as well as other custom favorites such as the smoked chicken enchiladas(which my friend had.) They also offer catering and the owner himself proved to be quite entertaining. Pros: food, drinks, (get the smoked chix enchiladas!!) Cons: parking can be a challenge but we ended up across the street in parking garage and it was just short stroll. more
