Possibly the rudest encounter I have ever experienced. I first introduced myself, and the project, to Michael Knowlton in my driveway. He had arrived with a detailed printout of my residential property in hand. This project entailed the complete removal of a single story home's roof and interior walls, followed by the installation of a new truss roof, upgrading the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Mr. Knowlton asked if I had "a buck and a quarter" meaning $125k. My response was yes and I included the fact that an architectural firm is preparing the drawings for city approvals. Mr. Knowlton's response was "I'm not interested" but thanked me for the opportunity. When pressed for a reason, he simply reiterated the same and drove away without ever stepping foot inside my home.
There is more to rating a business than receiving reviews for work performed. There are reviews not reported because the work had never begun. Was it my breath, my clothes, my car? Mr. Knowlton knew the property and scope of the work prior to his arrival and was considering the project or he would not have wasted his time with a personal appearance. He gave little, if any, consideration to me or my time. Don't waste yours on a company that clearly "picks and chooses" profit rather than owner or community needs.
